I always love the content and quality of your vids. I’m surprised that your subscription counts aren’t much higher though, hopefully more people discover your reviews. Keep up the great work.

Beautiful visuals! The slow gameplay really gives vibes of Boku no Natsuyasumi--- (The summer vacation series) meets Majora's mask ticking time concept.

Yo Victor! I didn't know you were still doing reviews. I still fondly remember Reviews on the Run.

Great review, excellent, joyful brave premise for a game/simulation/visual recording scrap-history-book. Thanks for having the strength and courage to invest time on such a unique title, always enjoy your content and take/presentation style on the gaming industry and it's creative works!!

I really need a lot of story or gameplay context to enjoy games with deliberate photogtaphy. FFXV did it wonderfully to the degree they almost did feel like deep memories by the credits. Also I had awful carpal tunnel when playing it so gameplay didn't bug me at all.

Definitely looks like a unique experience akin to something Annapurna would publish.

I bought the PC version based solely on your review, Vic. It has me entranced, although the subject matter is a little bit of a downer. I think my daughter would love to play this based on the visuals alone, but I wonder if the content might be a little doom and gloom for her. I enjoy her young, mostly-positive perspective on the future, and am not sure I want to see that sullied by such an emotionally charged piece of art.

I don’t know if it’s great for your daughter, Scott, but I believe your partner would appreciate it. Beautiful game! Definitely going to be thinking about that one all year.

I love the look of this game. But is the writing actually good? I know you said it is in your review...but I didn't see or hear any examples of this. I am getting burnt out on modern story telling in Indie games equating "good writing" with overly abstract/gray/depressing concepts. And I am starting to call bullsh*t on these pretentious art pieces. This game looks amazing visually, and I might try it just to bask in its beautiful world...I just hope I don't have to put up with forgettable and depressing dialogue because the creators think they are wiser than they actually are. P.S. I really enjoy your reviews. You have a great talent for narrating and sharing your excitement.

The writing is really lovely. It’s grounded and human and quite different from the action oriented material that exists in most games. The game is about letting go and celebrating the memories of those we lose. It’s powerful but in a beautiful, empathetic way. We rarely see a mother/daughter relationship set the tone for our game stories and this one does that wonderfully. It really impressed me.

@@EPN Thank you. I am glad to hear. I recently played through Indie art pieces "Bound" and "What Remains of Edith Finch" on PS4. Both extremely beautiful games. But both were incredibly and annoyingly abstract and depressing for no discernable reason. They didn't resonate because, at least in my opinion, they pretentiously assumed they had something very important to say...but never actually had the courage to come out and say it. And I was just left scratching my head "Am I supposed to think this is deep?". I will take it on your recommendation that "Season" has lovely writing, that it celebrates memory of those closest to us with love and beauty in a clear and impactful manner. If the writing matches the visuals I will be extremely pleased. Again, thank you for the review.
