Unban the sling tackle and make footy great again. (Keep the German suplex type tackle banned but make it shirt grab only, example below) I was watching metro v country and seen a great sling tackle late in the game, the taclker had hold of the ball carriers shirt and it was not dangerous at all. The ball carrier got the free, in the old days that would have been a great tackle with the opposite result.

I'll rephrase what you said: "The game is dead as we used to know it, and will die even more from what we know it to be now, but it will survive". The only problem for me, is I might not want to watch it.
@@MikeShellback The game died because instead of legislating against players who would take advantage of the vulnerable position the game puts players in, the AFL is legislating against future and present litigation. The empathetic front the AFL shows is not one of genuine care, it is marketing designed to ensure you can't argue with it without looking callus. This is not a novel strategy and exists everywhere today.
