I think we all have a project that “extra” food memories were added unnecessarily to. I have one that a little drop of guacamole got on to because it was on my shirt and I didn’t realize it when I sat down to stitch. It was on the front of the project…a Brenda Gervais design, and thankfully I got most of it out. It will forever be known as the guacamole project.😂
I can’t wait to do the SAL biscornu. I’ve always wanted to try one and this is the nudge I needed. So sorry Cathy is unable to stitch anymore. I also have very poor eyesight and feel that day creeping up on me - and will miss it so much. My heart goes out to her.

Your biscornus are so pretty! I need to get busy and get floss and fabric ready so I can start stitching one. What a wonderful gift from Kathy but sorry to hear she can no longer stitch. I stitch on both aida and evenweave mainly.
You are an amazing crafter….i am going to do this Sal with you but I’m a slower stitcher……I will be doing the Christmas ones you did last year hopefully I’ll start in July.
I am looking forward to this SAL and learning how to make a Biscornu! That stack of Aida is gorgeous! I have never heard of that brand before and will be checking it out. Hugs to Kathy for donating it to you but so sorry she is unable to stitch anymore.

Wow, just wow!!! That stack of aida fabric is like looking at a variety of ice cream flavors, delicious!!! But my heart hurts for Kathy because she can no longer stitch ☹.

One of the first stitching projects I bought, when getting back into cross-stitching, was HOD’s TOMAYTO, TOMAHTO. (Have a thing for tomatoes too.) Just have the very last row to do. Very first time stitching on linen, and had a horrible time counting! That’s why I didn’t finish. Must finish before starting the biscornu’s. Thank you, Nicole, for all your video’s.

Hi Nichol, I LOVE watching your videos!!! Do we have to use these patterns to take part in the SAL? These are beautiful, just not my style, but I have found one that's perfect for me. Oh, and I'm having a hard time finding out how to sign up for your newsletter.
You can choose any square chart you want. The basic finishing will be the same but you may have to figure out your spacing for the backstitch border. The link for the email newsletter is right at the top of in the description box of this video.
Watching replay: I missed on live. I have a QUESTION: what is Ground Walnut Shells and what do you used for? And also can you tell me what brand color of embroidery thread for the The Spring Basket instead of using DMC brand. I like that you used the embroidery thread. If you don’t mind.. Nichol, I an adia stitcher. You said there are Aida and there is aida. With being new stitcher. What is g good aida to stitch with? With putting the work in I want my project to look good. Not being totally educated on fabric just yet could you point me to the right direction. Thanks for helping us new comers.
Everyone likes different fabric. Some like a more stiff fabric and some like softer. I tend to like a softer fabric and Picture This Plus Aida is a dyed Aida which seems to make it a little "softer" if that makes sense. I like dyed Aida's for the most part but have stitched on both stiff and soft with great results.

It should be an "!" in the upper right corner that you can click and take you to the video/link mentioned. Unfortunately, they are showing that they are linked on my end but I do see that they aren't all showing up in the video. I am working on it.
