A great little car. I briefly had use of one in the early 2000's and I fell in love with it. It was the 1.4 litre sport and it went like you-know-what-off-a-shovel. Then I had to give it back, but about two years ago I was on holiday in Norfolk and there was one parked up on the prom. Bright red and looking almost new. I couldn't stop looking at it! Sadly, small cars with oomph are thin on the ground now unless you fancy an Abarth (which will get nicked...).
That little hatchback would still look the part if sold new today. Not a bad looking little run about at all. Never heard of Seat until today. Then again, I am a bloody American soooooooo....................... hahahaha!
COYOTE ADVENTURES SEAT used to make rebadged FIATs under licence and then they got taken over by VW Group hence this car being based on the Lupo :-) SEAT are still around today, as is Skoda, another group brand under VW Group ownership since around the same time in the 90s. As an example, the SEAT Ibiza, Skoda Fabia, VW Polo and Audi A1 are all actually the same car underneath :-)
Why did people hate Seat again? Its a euro thing, i get that, but why? The cars are just lovely VWs underneath, and they look less cutesy than the VW offerings of the era.
The seats are tight in the back, the claim you can get burly men in the rear is WRONG. If you have giants on the front seats, the legroom is non existant but even if the seats are forward, it's still not that generous...
@@johnrose7491 It's only a tiny citycar not a family hatchback or supermini! It's only really suitable for a couple or single person, because you wouldn't be able to get anyone, children or adults or teenagers, in that miniscule space behind the front seat, making the inclusion of the rear seats pointless and useless.
