In this video you can see me driving my old Seat Leon 1.8 20VT. From the factory it had 180HP but due to some modifications it now produces 260 HP and 395NM of torque!
MODS:
- K03S turbo
- Audi S3 injectors
- 4 bar fuel pump
- Custom intake manifold
- Toyosport 3 inch downpipe
- Magnaflow 3 inch 200 cells cat
- Cobra resonated catback
- Bigger front mounted intercooler
- Forge 006 diverter valve
- Stage 2 tune

have the same car but mine is 4wd. I don't know how much hp there is in mine, but it probably runs the same as the one there. but mine only runs 1.2 bar.

hi mate, because im looking into buying one of these cars, either standard 1.8T 180hp or fr versions (cupras here are stupidily expensive for some reason) how often do you do maintenance on the car and how much does it usually cost, just usual maintenance. cheers and lovely car you got

Hi there mate, There a a few things i did myself which are not expensive to replace/change. First of all is your normal maintenance like fluids and filters. I changed oil and the oil strainer every 10.000 to 15.000km. I also did the sparkplugs every 10 to 15k. Those are cheap things to replace ans you can do it yourself with the right tools. I am not a mechanic but i found most things on RU-vid videos. I know that the stock fuelpumps do fail sometimes but mine was already upgraded to a APS pump. Mine didn't had any issues at all. Take care of your car and it takes care of you ;)

Thank you! Overall the car is pretty reliable and the tuning possibilitys are endless. My car had the AUQ engine but there are a lot of 1.8t engines from the Leon MK1. The Cupra had a BAM engine code for example. There are a few weaker versions. If you can find a AUQ or BAM engine i would say go for it.

How is she coping with that much torque? I got told the rods can let go after 300nm, I only ask as mine is at 220bhp at the minute and scared to push it as high as yours lol 😆 yours looks to pull strong.

What engine code do you have? Mine was AUQ. The rods can handle up to 420nm, same goes for the BAM engine. I have driven this car for 2 years, and the owner before me also 2 years. I think this setup has proven its reliability :D
