In this video, Kevin goes over how to install a seat post for the TravelScoot Escape.
TLDW:
1. Make sure that the slot in the clamp aligns with the slot on the item you are clamping.
2. Triple-check to make sure that the end of the seat post is sticking out of the yoke. For safety reasons, do not use the seat if the end of the seat post is inside the yoke. per our manual.

There should be a label somewhere saying not to raise the seat beyond a certain point. Without watching this video I would not have known I’m using it wrong. If it in the manual, well I read that 3 years ago. And I’m someone that actually reads manuals. Thanks for the information

I'm not sure how old your scooter is but the most up-to-date manuals have this on page 12.

Kevin, I believe that to tighten a screw is not "As Hard You Can". It is Ideal to have a Torque Wrench and there should be a specification in Nm to tight a specific screw.

Yes if I tightened screws as hard as I can I would have a lot of damaged screws.

Thanks for your comment. Most of our customers do not have torque wrenches and so we give instructions on how to do this using the tools that are included.

On page 5 of the manual where it talks about the seat it says nothing about the seat not being set so you can’t see the tube. If that is a true statement maybe it should be included in the manual. Sorry for the dry tone I’m just matching the tone of the video saying you will void your warranty for something you were never informed of.

Believe it or not, I made this video for a specific customer who tried stacking her regular seat post with the extension seat post, all with the single lever clamp. Most people don't need this video but I really wanted to stress to this specific customer how dangerous what she attempted was.

Now that definitely seems reasonable. I just noticed there are footrest extensions. So I’m also going to get those for my scooter.
