This hit all the upper body muscles that I would like to strengthen. Being able to sit and the slow pace helped me to keep good form and concentrate on the muscles being used. I appreciate the cue to use a pillow at the back on the chest press/ fly as leaning back without that bit of support is not the best for me. Having strength workouts seated and standing with no floor work is just right and I appreciate that you have these and are developing more of them. Thank You so much for all that you do for us seniors that want to workout!❤
The best exercise to strengthen the legs is to start with sit-to-stands. Ideally, do about 10 (or as many as you can up to 10), and if you can, do another set again later in the day. As you build up strength, you can add on an extra set so you're doing 3 sets of 10 a day. I have another workout on this channel with a mixture of seated and standing exercises. That one would be a good one to continue working on building leg strength. I hope that helps.
Good morning Jules! I enjoyed doing these guided exercises with you. All targetted muscles got a good workout. I plan to reserve Thursdays and Sundays for 2 seated sessions(🤞) with you and the rest of the days for the standing ones. Thank you so much for all the work you put in for our improved health , gratitude🙏❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jules. Another empowering and effective session allowing focus on the muscles being worked. Even doing the exercises slowly, with you changing them up (e.g. bicep curls and hammer curls), made this class feel like a fast one.
This is AWESOME! This is exactly what I was looking for today. Thanks for creating this video. I really appreciate your dialog with letting us know to have two sets of weights and when to use them. Always appreciate your attention to details that benefit our muscles.
Thanks so much for your feedback and for letting me know that you enjoyed this one. Let me know if you have any requests for new seated workouts...I'm trying to make a plan for the next several workouts.
Love this new upper body strength workout! Thanks for creating it. I did this workout and then I did the seated disco for some cardio. I’m ready for my day! 😄
Thanks for mentioning the seated disco in your comment. I love that idea of doing this upper body workout and then doing the seated disco workout. Sounds like a great combination for me.
Thank you, thank you, Jules, for devising this Slow Mo workout - it was just what I was looking for! I kinda cringed when you said 2 sets but was pleasantly surprised when you changed up the exercises so we could work the same muscle group in a different way. Great Work! If you get bored & want to try something entirely new, how about a Coordination/Memory/Cognition video for us seniors? There are several on RU-vid (ex: Silver Sneakers) but I know you can devise a really fun one for us - - - maybe making part of it using a playground ball or a tennis ball?
Your request is what made me create this one so I am glad you enjoyed it:) I definitely appreciate having requests since I'm here for you and other viewers, and I want to create what is needed or wanted. In terms of your new request, can you send me a link to what you're thinking of?
I love how you made this more challenging by using the stability ball (too bad I hadn't written that as a suggestion in my video!). That's a great way to include core work at the same time.
Hi Jules....can you tell me where I can find more strength chair workouts without the cardio? I'm able to stand and do your low impact workouts, and wanted to say how much I love the new upper body seated workout you just uploaded and hoping there will be a lower body version also. Thanks kindly.
Hi! I don't have a specific lower body one, yet, but it's something I can definitely create. I'll start thinking about what I can do for just lower body. In the meantime, did the other workout you commented on provide you with the leg workout you were hoping for?
This is a great workout. Here I am on my tablet on your RU-vid channel. When I try finding this on my tv via RU-vid I cannot access this video. Any ideas what is going on?
Hmm, I'm not sure. When you're on YT on the TV, look for my regular channel and then go to where it says 'channels' (beside videos, shorts, playlists, etc.). Maybe click on the chair channel there to find this video. Since the chair channel is new, YT often directs people to my usual channel.
