Dude, you have no idea. It took me what felt like a lifetime to find one! Only two more editions of Silent Hill to find and I will have all of them on every system. FK YEAH!
I'll tell you, that Resident Evil shelf at 4:52 would be empty if i lived closer to that store! Lol Pushing for a complete collection of Resident Evil games. I have the rarest ones out of the way already, just looking for the rest now!
@@coyotekelly7143 That's amazing! I think those are the rarer ones on my list still, alongside big box PC copies of the 1st through 3rd games. I actually picked up a fairly cheap authentic copy of Resident Evil Gaiden for Gameboy Color probably a year ago now, and consider it the crown jewel of my game collection
@@ryneh7278 ah man I want gaiden so bad. I do have a mint cib copy of metal gear solid for Gameboy color that I'm thinking about selling to go towards gaiden. But it's hard for me to let it go because it's such a fun game. I'm also looking for re2 for gamecube to complete the gamecube set or resident evil games.
@@coyotekelly7143 That one was a difficult one for me. I bit the bullet one RE2 for GameCube and bought one that was pretty pricey, but it paid off because the market followed it. RE3 I bought without a manual, so that one was fairly cheap. Code Veronica was one of the first ones I purchased for the GameCube, and that one was cheaper than both of those two, and supposedly that one is rare
If you ever find yourself in downtown Renton, there's a pretty cool store called D-Pad Retro Gaming and Collectibles. It's pretty small, but they've got games from just about every generation, not to mention a a shit ton of action figures and similar collectibles, plus a whole shelf dedicated to import games. I'd love to see you cover it in a video sometime, since it's pretty obscure as far as I can tell.
Sorry for the inconvenience, we didn't expect to have this much traffic, so the website crashed :( My webmaster is working to get it back up soon! The 10% will be good until the end of the year and we will upload new items everyday. Please check back later today. Thank you
I picked up Ultima I : First Age of Darkness for the Commodore 64 yesterday I can't seem to find any price info seen one in eBay going for 1k is that true 😆 😆 or is he just trying to get that for a 150 game

Thanks everybody for checking out the video and this local mom & pop retro gaming store. They had to close their doors for 4 months this year after first opening because of the virus, so it's been tough on them. It's early here in Seattle, & I'm sure the website will be back up in a little bit...
I think your viewers crashed their website with the traffic, lol. As soon as you said they do online ordering I typed in the URL, but it's down as of noon CST 10/9/2020 (about three hours after upload).
Too bad it's Seattle. Was effectively forced to sell my childhood home, I'm still sore about it. Maybe someday when there are less fools on the city council I can move back because I loved going to places like this.
@@awesomeferret Me too. We cannot morally support Seattle due to what's going on there but I won't elaborate further because I don't wanna get shadow banned!
Here in the Netherlands we used to have a lot of this type of stores, nowadays there are some left but sadly the internet took over a lot of their functionality.. I guess that goes for the U.S. as well..😪😔As a gamer I always had lots of fun nosing around in them, feeling like a kid in a candystore..
The generation of games going digital is the reason why they are closing. Watch the documentary called 'Not For Resale' its about local game stores like these and they explain a lot. The documentary can be downloaded from a torrent or you can buy on amazon for less then $5
Heya, Dutchie here as well. Do you have any recommendations as far as retro game sites / physical game stores go? I'm kind of done just shopping at Nedgame / gamemania all the time and due to bad health I'm also not really able to go out at the moment so I'm looking for some "hidden gem" retro game sites as well.
@@misfitvillainz1769 hey! As i'm not aware of which region you live in, just Google' 'Nederlandse retro gamewinkel' and you'll come across more than you'll initially think.. No specific recommendations atm, sorry!
Having lived in Melbourne and Sydney (two largest cities in Australia, can't speak for the rest of the country), the closest thing to this that I can think of is The Gamesmen (gamesmen.com.au) in the Inner West in Sydney. They sell modern stuff as well but have a "retro museum". Well worth a visit if you're ever in Sydney.
I was TOTALLY going to buy some stuff from them but their website is totally down. You may want to reach out and let them know people are getting a "500 Internal Server Error" when they stop by. My wallet is ready!
I emailed them yesterday giving them a heads up about the release of the video. It's currently early 6am here in Seattle...so I suspect they'll jump on it in a few hours.
I live two block away from GameBound! Moved here two years ago from SoCal and love the area. I visit GameBound pretty frequently and have filled out my collection nicely from this place and found many holy grail items.
"San Andresito" in Bogotá (Colombia) is the best place to get some used games (I really would love to see MJR reaction in that place!). You can spend hours looking for the game you want, there's not much variety but you can get some awesome prices there (in pesos). "MercadoLibre" is also good sometimes.
@@Capatron1 since the average income is so low there has been a lot of piracy since the beginning, that didn't help the market to "grow" enough to import more games (so there's not a lot of variety). There were some videogame stores on the 2000's but almost all went broke because of the low sales; department stores sell new games, but they are the most "popular" (Halo, Fifa, Mario, Zelda, etc). However, "San Andresito" has some interesting places to buy cool used games (there are locals that import them from eBay, Amazon, Gamestop, etc.). As those places have more variety on different generations of consoles, I assume there's a market for them, although not a big one.
One of the only places I could ever find vinyl anime model kits (*not* Gundam) was in a little, almost underground, shop in the I.D., loved living off Stewart as a kid and hitting up mom and pop shops like this. Now unfortunately, but sometimes fortunately, I spend all my time an hour and a half North, getting gouged on games and collectibles 😬
Super Smash VGs is good. Game Over VGs is close by too. And if you venture just a little north and go up the I405 you can hit up Dpad Retro Games and Game-Xplosion. Stay away from Games Lobster though...
All the retro game shops in my area are gone. All we have now is the big retailers and that is it to buy games. It really is sad because I used to love retro stores.
Man. I had no idea that Silent Hill 2 is worth anything :D I was just muttering "that's a poor port" when you showed it and then had to go check Ebay after you said it's expensive. Never knew I had such a rarity on my shelve.
What a cool store, I swear the PNW has the best independent game stores. Good looking out for pointing out the website, and a shop that ships, plus the discount code 👍🏿
True. With me, as I move, I'm finding a lack of space, so sadly I sell my stuff. But I'm hopeful my old games are in a nice house making someone happy. 😊
We had a guy in my area dump his entire Master System, Mega Drive, Mega CD, 32x, Game Gear, Saturn, and Dreamcast collections. Over 1000 games and the systems.
man I miss those big box pc games. even as a kid during the 90s before I even had a computer id just open the flap to see the great artwork and box. that silent hill 2 is really cool.
Gamebound has very good deals, very fair prices and last time I checked they took everything that other videogame stores refuse to buy. Its just stuff I had to long like plug n plays.
I don't remember seeing any Wonderswan or Neo Geo Pocket there. Or 3DO; have to take a closer look next time. They had a Jag but I've already fixed a couple of those.
Wow this store looks amazing. Trying get anything sega right now especially master system and saturn. Thank you so much for including the website and the 10% discount is so cool. Great video you make great content.
Damn man, you missed out on an absolute GEM there. BLADE OF DARKNESS box was laying on top of the pile, that game was a "Souls-game" a good EIGHT years before Demon Souls even came out. Maybe the most underrated game in the history of games(slight hyperbole).
Sorry for the inconvenience, we did not expect to have that much traffic, so the website crashed :( My webmaster is working to get it back up soon! The 10% will be good until the end of the year and we will upload new items everyday. Please check back later today. Thank you
It's a real shame that GameStops are already not carrying much in the way of 3DS games. That will probably drive up the value for those games sooner rather than later.
Well the guy who sold his big box PC collection is gonna have plenty of time to live in a van down by the river when..... HES LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!
I'm surprised you still haven't been to double jump video games in Vancouver, I think a crossover with the owner Cooper, would be amazing. It's a really cool store.
Love Gamebound! I’ve never seen another store with so much nice stuff and always find something I’m looking for. Gave me pretty good prices on my trade ins too. Definitely my first stop whenever I’m on the hunt.
Last time I was there I couldn’t go. They were on a long remodel. I was disappointed because I’ve had good experiences with Kai and his crew at Seattle Retro Gaming Expo and wanted to buy some more from them.
They have great prices too. Got an almost new cart of Super Monkey Ball Jr for only 10 bucks!!! It was near flawless and of course, was very fun :) Totally worth checking out, very friendly and AWESOME game selections.
@MetalJesusRocks I am new to your channel! Have binged atleast 10+ videos the last 2 days. I’m a from Canada a massive Xbox fan starting my definitive collection at 25 year old. Thank you so much for your videos🤘
