Well, i might be wrong but im pretty sure that Lakyus going on about her sword is just her being a chunibyo, although her sword is a weapon from Yggdrasil wich means its must be way more powerfull than any sword from the new world.

Lakyus is a Chuunibyou, she acts like her sword has uncontrollable power like a kid would be playing knights & dragons with his imagination, that's why she's embarassed when Gargaran sees her

So a little bit of spoiler free info about Sebas that isn't really explained in the anime. Sebas is one of the strongest combat centered NPCs' in Nazarick. In terms of pure combat ability alone Sebas ranks ONLY below Shalltear and Albedo. He is also one of the very few NPCs' with a positive karma rating (If I remember correctly Sebas has a karma rating of 300+).

Hello friend, thanks for continuing to react to this Anime. As always, I will try to clarify some things based on information from the light novels and trying not to make spoilers. The female warrior named Gagaran (often mistaken for a man because of her muscles) is a generally good person who cares for others and has no racial prejudice towards demihumans, though she has no problem killing them if she thinks they are a threat. However, she is also quite horny, especially with male virgins, and if one of them even hints that he is interested in her, she would drag them into a room with her. This is a destination that Climb often has to avoid. The woman in the mask, called Evileye, looks like a little girl, but her way of speaking implies that she is much older than appears. And she gives us a curious clue when she recommends to Climb that he "do not abandon his humanity for power". This may imply that she is no longer a human being. Evileye seems to know all 13 heroes personally, which may mean that she would be around 200 years old or older. In the novel she tells us that, although the Slane Theocracy is sometimes cruel and ruthless in allowing the enslavement of demihumans, it is also the only reason why humans can have free kingdoms, because beyond their borders it is the demihumans who enslave humans and raise them like cattle to eat them. We also learned a curious fact, Lakyus's sword is one of those belonging to the Black Knight mentioned by the adventurers who died in the first season at the hands of Clementine. Apparently, the leader of Blue Rose Lakyus... suffers from chūnibyō «eighth grade syndrome». That's a Japanese word that describes teenagers with delusions of grandeur who desperately want to stand out, thus convincing themselves that they have hidden knowledge or secret powers. To put it simply, Lakyus likes to play pretending that sword is possessing her and that she struggles to control it like a princess priestess... ¡But her companions now believe this is true (LOL)! In the novel there are moments when they even try to ask her if the secret power of her sword can help them out of a crisis, but she quickly changes the subject, because all of that was just her hobby for drama in action. Later we learned that Adamantite Rank adventurers (which aren't many) are usually associated with a color: Blue Rose, Red Drop, Silver Thread Bird... and now Momon's Darkness. Finally, we get to the scene where Sebastian meets Climb. And the butler is already irritated enough, because realizes that he has jeopardized the mission Ainz has given him to stay undercover to protect Tuare. So, he doesn't really feel like making conversation at first. But he can't help it when he sees Climb's honest spirit and decides to train him. Climb has no natural talent... that's why the only way to improve himself is to overcome the fear of death to exceed his physical limits, but to be successful he needs to have something to live for. And Climb has it: The princess he has sworn to serve. Instead, Brain became so obsessed with his own individual strength that he ruled out anything else and so when Shalltear showed him how weak he was, he found no strength to try to overcome his natural limit. Hence, that meeting with Sabastian and Climb made him completely change his way of thinking and even his concept of "strength". In the end, the assassins who attack Sebastian are sent by the owner of the 8-finger brothel (the mafia) who at no time really thought to wait for the next day's response. In fact, after killing the butler, the assassins were going to get Tsuare back and also capture the "mysterious noblewoman" (Solution) to keep her in her brothel. They have no idea that they were saved by dying at the hands of Sabastian, because the alternative would be much worse if they fell into the hands of that Slime that can digest you for days while keeping his victims alive. Finally, in a desperate attempt to save Tuare without breaking the incognito that Ainz ordered, Sebastian decides to try to destroy the Brothel and turn everyone over to the authorities, taking advantage of Climb's connection to Princess Renner. (And killing most of the scum in the process) What the butler doesn't know is that Solution has already accused him... so we'll have to see if this will work out. Well friend, I hope this has clarified any doubt, but I definitely think it was a good chapter, don't you think?

Talents are like perks, people have them from birth at random and can have multiple. But it's rare for them to be discovred, for example a peasant born with an amazing sword weilding talent but sends their entire lives farming will never have the chance to discover that talent, A Noble who makes crops grow more fruitful when tending them would never know as doesn't work the fields etc. Adventurers with good/relevant talents are quite powerful much of the time (remember the girl killed near start of S1 who was a mage who could learn spells faster). So Climb having no talent for magic means he cannot use it, let alone well. In fact it appears he has NO talents what so ever and rellies on his skill and training alone, this makes him actually outclass peasant levies and all the knights (including most if not all of Gazefs elite unit)

Don't know if anyone addressed it. But to note regarding Sebas and his alignment, in the game there is evil to good alignment which in game is mostly flavoring and probably some statistical limitation things like maybe spell compatibility and acquisition. In regards to Sebas, he essentially has a similar alignment to his creator "Touch Me", who was one of the only if not the only good aligned member in Ains Ooal Gown. Despite that like all the other NPCs, he's fiercely loyal to Nazarick and the clashing of alignment doesn't appear to nullify the good relation he has with all the other members of Nazarick.

So for anyone wanting more info on Evileye than you need to take a look at the spin off bonus novel which focuses on her. It's not set in this timeline as well different things happen at the start but it's basically a duo adventure with Ainz and Evileye. I doubt it will ever get an anime adaptation as I'm not sure it's long enough for 12 episodes or popular enough compared to Overlord and I doubt the publishers really want to push up it's sales. Possible OVA but I'm being doubtful. As far as I'm aware it doesn't have an official English translation so you'll have to be able to read Japanese or read an unofficial translation on the high seas or the Overlord wiki has a breakdown of the book.

Another Overlord Reaction another lore explanation from me. Sebas's racial class is that of a Dragonoid and his job class is Monk, he's an unarmed combatant but insanely powerful. When he said only 41 beings are stronger than him he was referring to the 41 original members (players) that once made up the guild of Ainz Ooal Gown and the "maybe a few others" he was referencing the fact that in a one vs one fight he is stronger than all of the guardians EXCEPT Albedo, Shalltear and Mare. Albedo is too tanky, Shalltear has too high of defense combined with her self healing Lance and against Mare who is the strongest magic caster in ALL of Nazarick (excluding Ainz) Sebas would have no chance to even get close enough to do damage. What you saw with the icicle spikes was a visualization of what Climb was feeling from the overwhelming bloodlust Sebas was releasing, no skills just a simple display of his real power. And as others have mentioned he is one of only a couple Nazarick members with a Positive or Good Karma rating (+300).

Dude, I LOVE your commentary on Overlord. So heartfelt and emotional! You wear your heart on your sleeve while watching these episodes and it shows. You are such a caring guy (like Sebas, my favorite character as well.). As someone who has watched this series multiple times, it is so enjoyable to see when you "get" a scene or situation. Yes, I chuckle to myself when you are way off in your speculations, but I know you will understand in time. So glad I found you, m'man (Mate)! Fun fact that Sebas "description" is empty. He learned and build his personality just from his creator's will and influence by his words. Touch Me uphold the values ​​of justice where in his Real World, he can't make it true, so he bring those to Yggdrasil.

Lakyus simply is a happy girl with a ton of power... the sword is not cursed like the others think... her happy imagination is XD

Only Anime I know is more wholesome than Overlord is One Piece, that show is so incredibly emotional. However it starts slow and the amount of episodes is scary. But it needs it to keep building to get under your skin, and then you break hehe. The fights are pretty boring but it always emphasizing why they fight and for what reason. The show is gonna change how you see the world. Don't trust me? Ofc you don't. Please ask around or research a bit about the show. It's the best advice I could give any one. It's kind of a show that grandmas and kids and everyone in between would love. It is the best selling book series of all time and the protagonist was the third most popular character in TV shows last year. Every day I feel so sorry for those who hasn't watched it yet. I weep for them, like seriously. The show made my cold heart open up the flood gates in my eyes and helped me feel connected with myself as I have never cried to anything else in my whole life. It is weird to cry happy tears as well as sad at the same time. I could go on rambling forever hehe. Overlord is soooo good tho!!!

The sword doesn't have a curse or any weird power. Lakyus is just what is known as a Chunibyo, which means eigth-grader syndrome. Essentially she just has a very overactive imagination and she does stuff like talking to herself and pretending there's some powerful curse that she struggles to hold back. She's one of my favorite Overlord characters partially because of her quirky chunibyo-ness. I suggest you check out Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions either watching it or check out some clips. It'll show you exactly what a Chunibyo.

Just started the episode, but if you love market scenes you might get a kick out of Ascendance of a Bookworm. Absolutely my favorite anime in recent years. Also interesting to note about Climb is what you said as well. Stronoff said his ability was capped at gold, but he got cut off before mentioning more about experience. He thinks the boy is capable of quite a bit, and learning from every possible source is the path to that.

It's not explained in the anime at all or even mentioned but Sebas is a Dragonoid Monk. He's one of the few in Nazarick that has good karma. Most of the Nazarick Denizens are evil or neutral, but mostly evil.

The 41 thing is because there was 41 players in the guild Ainz ool Gown. the NPCs revere the players (like Momonga) who built nazarick as gods. That’s what Sebas is referring to.

Probably my favorite episode in this anime.

Princess Renner literally picked up an orphan off the street because she liked how his eyes looked at her. Climb owes his life to Rennner after she picked him off the street, she is his entire world and Rennner likes the look of adoration Climb gives her whenever he looks at her.

Solutions big problem with what Sebas is doing, is that their mission was supposed to be covert, Solution is thinking that what Sebas is doing goes against their orders to stay hidden. And because her thinking is so rigid, going against orders equals treason. And she is not entirely wrong, since he is attracting attention and from a pretty big people, who they cannot just disappear without consequences.

It is a powerfull sword but lakius was just acting out some cheazy hero lines that hero’s always say when they try to taim something powerfull.but she has full control over the sword

Like we saw in the last few episodes, Sebas can't help himself. Cause that's what his creator made him to do. His creator was a guy who believed that people in need should be helped and so that's why Sebas is like this. While Ainz and Solution might not agree with his actions, that's what he was programmed to do. Now, while Ainz may not like his actions, I'm sure he'll notice that it's his programming that made him like this and will most likely forgive him.

You should give vinland saga a try then after you finish one series. I think you'll love it.
