Transportation department withholding the certificates is not a realistic scenario if the court rules in favor of JetBlue . Besides if that happens the airline would just continue to operate as one airline under two certificates

When asked if Spirit Airline does go away, both Frontier and Allegiant CEOs said the pilots/planes won't be a huge issue, they will be immediately try to grab as many market share as possible. This completely contradicted DOJ's argument that noone will be abled to fill the hole.

Your airline reporter got it wrong on a number of things. Firstly, she was tremendously biased against the deal. There was a lot more to the defense than what she said. A lot more. Second, she said that the judge's decision would be made early next year. In fact, the decision could very well be made this year.
