Things I got wrong. My apologies, and thanks to all that contributed with corrections: 1) I mentioned the wrong Rush n' Attack game. Jeez. It's the oldschool Rush n' Attack that's getting the discount, which is great cause that's the better game for sure. thanks to @chaossmash64 and @Gawlakman for this 2) Black seems to be backwards compatible! Buying it for 99 cents now will allow you to download it on One / Series. I wonder if other OG Xbox games are also like this. If anyone knows please tell us 🙂. thanks to @EZshocks for this 3) Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition DOES NOT have the DLC in the disc. That's only true for the PS3 version which is what I have and shouldn't have assumed it would be true for Xbox 360. thanks to @sonofs, @retroman3960 and @traxus12 for this correction. 4) Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 is apparently backwards compatible at least on Xbox One. It doesn't show up in the Xbox One website store, so this may be a very unique case. thanks to @chaossmash64 for this 5) Forgot to include that Remember Me is on PCs through Steam. I got this right in the last video. thanks to @Lock2002ful for this one. 6) Strider's PS4 / Xbox One version has better frame rate. thanks to @brichb87 for this 7) Space Invaders Infinity Gene is backwards compatible on One / Series. It shows up as Spece Invaders IG. Thanks to @EPolloLocs-zi6pv for this correction. 8) Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is NOT on PS3 PSN. Thanks to @supermahmoud for this.
Hunter the reckoning Psychonauts Fusion frenzy Blinx Connker Crimson skies Time splitters Time splitters 2 Jedi starfighter The clone wars Jedi knight Jedi knight 2 Battlefront 2 Republic commando So mamy star wars games and so many more are backwards compatible. The ones i know that arent are fable, halo and burnout 3.
has anyone checked out the microsoft website lately. they have jacked up the prices on all xbox 360 games there. i saw one game listed there for 2 thousand 1hundred and 99 dollars, i kid you not, many of the games are over 100 dollars easy, enslaved odyssey to the west cost 99.99, i think i saw gta 4 for 149.99
I gotta voice some criticism. I’m going through the list of titles that are on sale and your thumbnails usually allow me to quickly look for and jump between game titles I’m interested in looking at. I don’t know why you didn’t just put the titles of the games in the thumbnails. Please don’t do that again. I can’t scroll through hours of hundreds of titles..
@@CrankyMoogle How about this is valid criticism and your comment isn’t helping. How about google doesn’t have a video with all the details to the games that are discounted? Congratulations for the most unnecessary comment of the day. I’m obviously using the list while trying to use this video which normally is easier and faster than to google every single game discounted for the information I need? You do know that’s the reason for this video to exist, right? It’s really not that hard..
@Lock2002ful So what you're telling me is that you're incapable of using the scroll bar at the bottom of the video, and you're too lazy to look up video games individually on RU-vid IF you had a list. If you actually bothered to use Google you would know that there is a list that has EVERY SINGLE DISCOUNTED GAME and has prices for those games all in the same list. Gameplay and reviews of video games do exist, you know. Also, there is no way he has all 94 games in the video that were discounted, and on that note, it's not remotely realistic to put 94 titles in the thumbnail or the games he did manage to cover. If it's just a couple of games, that would be fine. I would even bet you never bothered to look at the video description either.
Hey Lock! I hear you. You are absolutely right, its more important to list the games than the fun factor I was going for there 😅have included the names of each game even if I kept some of the jokes, hope thats ok, lol. Will keep it this way going forward. No need to argue guys, Lock's criticism is valid and helpful, it was not offensive at all, totally ok. Thank you both.
That's great to know. Will add this correction to the pinned comment. Most if not all other games on this sale may exist on One / Series, but as re-releases or different versions that don't actually get the backwards compatibility feature of being able to carry over the download to newer Xboxes. I wonder now if other OG Xbox games are the same. Will try figuring this out. If anyone can help I would appreciate as I don't have newer Xboxes yet.
Commenting just to say that Homefront was and still is a criminally underrated game. Great design, solid gameplay, interesting story. The multiplayer was incredible too.
I forgot I bought this game years ago. Only to realized this week I own it. I had gotten myself so frustrated. I couldn't transfer it off my old ass 360 to my series X. Just forgot I had it. Wish'd alot of old games were backwards compatible.
I also wish for that so much. Some DLCs are very expensive and will hurt me a lot. I was actually delaying my DLC video part 2 hoping that this one would have at least some, but now I cant delay anymore, dang.
Yeah, I agree. It's totally bogus. Not spending $30 for Borderlands 2 or Pre sequel season pass when they're pretty much dead community of gamers. Did pick up some reasonably priced bundles on the RE games but the games themselves were on $2
So it seems this is the final update, Microsoft said that on July 16 they were adding more games to the reduction price list but there's absolutely nothing new and today is July 16
AMAZING, thank you for the detailed summary! Already added a few titles to my list I'd never heard of before. Just one correction: Resident Evil 5 Gold only has DLC on disc for the PS3; the 360 version includes a "game add-on content" slip with a code but the disc is identical to the base version. 37:51
My pleasure, traxus! Glad you enjoyed. Thank you very much for that correction. I assumed the 360s Gold had the DLCs in disc like the PS3 version I have. Shouldn't have assumed that, I apologise.
The window grows closer but thank you for the video! I’ve been waiting since the sale hit and a few I wanted were on the list!!! I gotta make sure I save to get them all but it should be a lot less harder on the ol leather money holder
Dang, my bad. Apologies. Have added this correction to a pinned comment and will make a corner card on the video to alert viewers. Thanks for this correction chaos mash!
Normal weekly sales on the Xbox 360 don't show the sale price games and haven't for a few years now. If I want to get the sale price I have to go to the Xbox website.
I actually liked Bullet Witch on xbox360, was fun and challenging at times, a bit annoying but if you can get passed that the character seem interesting, and wanted to know what happened in the story, plus Alicia is hot.
Did you already test any of them? do they boot up normally? I ask because I heard this issue may be related to using a non official Hard Drive on your 360, and that may also cause the OG Xbox games, disc or download, to not boot up. I plan on explaining this on a later video.
@@FromTheVoidGamesWell, my Xbox 360's wifi connection is extremely sporatic; most of the time it won't connect to the internet at all, and when it will, it has so many issues like me not being able to buy games, and the console just crashes when I exit the store. Also, when looking up suggestions on how to connect the console to the internet, the console also crashes when I move onto the next suggestion.
@@robertmaguire1067 I have an Xbox 360 S model, which is supposed to have a built-in wifi adapter to be able to connect wirelessly on its own, and yet mine can barely do that. Even when I use an ethernet cable, the problem still persists. Either the Xbox 360 inherently has bad internet connection, regardless of model, or the console I myself have is just a faulty unit.
Voodoo Dice hasn't been fixed yet either, sadly. Also, Microsoft promoted Rush 'N' Attach Ex-Patriot, but the game they actually dropped was the original game. 😐
Weird, the game is on sale the last time i checked, maybe its something with the regional price. The original Rush 'N' Attach isn't even available here on south america.
@trobriandstorm It wasn't a regional thing it was just late getting a discount. I'm in the USA and Voodoo Dice was $4.99 for several days. This is the first day I noticed it's finally at the correct price at $1.99 There was an error when the list was first revealed, and some games didn't have the correct price or were accidentally delisted.
@@CrankyMoogle Oh, i see, ill check it out, despite i have Series, i just plug in my old 360 to get some of the games i missed. NSF most wanted 2012 and choplifter are truly fun, i'm glad they discount these. I'll get voodo dice too, its pretty cheap right now.
Thank you so much for these videos. I actually got some on the list! Best guides and now that nostalgia hit hard, cant wait to get my xbox 360 (moms house) to play the titles. Im just waiting last minute to see if they discount Happy Tree Friends game and I think Ill be good.
Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition on Xbox 360 does not include the dlc on disc. It’s included as a download code which will be useless after the store closes.
Thanks for this correction💚. Yeah, I have the PS3 Gold Edition and assumed that the 360 Gold would be exactly the same. Shouldn't have assumed that I apologise. Added this correction to the pinned comment.
You know what I hate the most when it's going offline even if you have the game unless you downloaded or bought the DLC you won't be able to redownload it, so if you have game and think your dlc you can get at a later date because you have the game think again, I think that they will only let you redownload it for dlc you bought or downloaded once. Xbox live will still be available to play online and connect online, but you wont be able to download any new themes, gamer pics, dlc or demos unless you've owned them before.
I like your intro a lot. Ive been scouring yt to find some xbox 360 games that are more obscure since a lot of these phy are insanely priced. Like the waifus. Good shit man
I had to stop using the website to purchase because paypal stopped working there, mine at least, and I don't have a american credit card either. So yeah, everything is possible, because the 360 store is very buggy at this point.
Seriously appreciate the work you've done going through these games massive thanks I've purchased a few👍 I do have concerns that when the digital 360 store closes that certain games will just get pulled from the back compat market like they've done with games like Daytona and Final fight. What do you think?
Glad you are enjoying Duncan! They are promising that games currently on backwards compatibility will remain purchasable on One and Series, they specificly said so. But it is possible that a game be removed by the publisher on a cade by case. Note that almost all of these on this video are not actually backwards compatible, they were re-released or have different versions on One and Series, so if you buy these on 360 you wont be able to download on One or Series, save for a few exceptions.
Thanks so much for your videos. They’re excellent, and I love how you’re willing to take a look at games originally panned in reviews and find something unique in them. Just working out how to explain to my wife why our bank statement will have a stream of dozens of Microsoft 99p, Microsoft 99p… 😅 Keep it up. Love it.
lol, yeah, I am bracing for a expensive end of July man... hoping for a lot os new games and fingers crossed DLC to join the sale. Glad you are liking the videos Swampy! Thanks for taking the time to say so😊
@Bcdeano, DMC 4 and HD Collection are on sale for $1.99 each. Yes, you need to purchase the games logged into your 360. Even backwards compatible games will show as full price on Xbox one and the Xbox online store.
informative video! However when i tried to purchase Ninety-nine nights 2 I could not buy it. The page is still on the 360 store but everything is gone including the demo, though dlc is still available for some odd reason. The demo appears to still be up for NA/JP stores.
My fellow boy looking for extra cash or a kind soul with the hint to make money out of thin air. I'm already struggling with hd size... DMCHD is mos definetly not the best way, it's just serviceable for being a hackjob missing way too many visual effects, basically the reason why remasters shouldn't get a pass (ps2 games) for 2 bucks😅 2 great games+dmc 2 is enough. DmC is an offense that should be at 50c and definite edition was capcom trying to fix nt's almost shaeksperean mess but the damage was done Mn9 at 1 is better than nothing.
It's important to note with Dead Rising 2: Off the Record that the Game Breaking DLC that turns on debug mode is not available in the 8th gen port, so it'll be lost to the seventh to consoles.
Sadly most great games are cut on the german xbox 360 store and there doesn't seem to be a way to buy on the UK store for uses with german xbox live accounts... -.-
I loved the demo of Leedmees - totally awesome Kinect game from what I can tell. Curious about Suda51s Diabolical Pitch on Kinect which also seemed interesting from demo. Also, I loved Bulletstorm full clip on ps4 but had no idea that 7th gen had better graphics?? Crazy, maybe I should check it out. Arthur/ others may or may not know/care that Bulletstorm also has a recent VR version. The graphics were pretty bad initially (at least on PSVR2) but have been patched and look much better now. However VR version still lacks a bit in the destructible elements compared to the flat version.
Dude, Leedmees rocks! Also very curios about Diabolical Pitch. Have this on the list for the Kinect video, stay tuned! Did not know about Bulletstorm VR! Must be awesome. I really wish I could star covering VR. Its just way above my paygrade right now, lol.
@@FromTheVoidGamesTotally understandable about VR - it is an expensive hobby for sure. To be honest I use VR most of all for exercise (love Synth Riders) - music in VR is transformative and motivating. It is still very niche but I hope someday VR becomes a little more mainstream and affordable.
Hey Lock! Thanks for this correction. Addedd to the pinned comment. I had this right in the last video too. My brain is going haywire with all the info, lol
Another good list anyone else notice the DLC's for many of these games cost just as much if not more than the games themselves? Also, I would also recommend for your Kinect list sesame street once upon a monster (a family game) and Child of Eden a musical rail shooter similar to Rez and one of the few backwards compatible Kinect Games.
Yeah, DLCs are a problem right now. Really hoping for them to include some on the final part of the sale in July. Will be including both of these in the Kinect video. Thanks for the recommendation!
Burnout 3's price STILL hasn't been updated--hopefully that will actually get fixed. And Space Invaders IG's sale is over already? I'm not seeing it for the sale price you mention. Anyway, thanks for your hard work.
I can confirm Space Invaders Infinity Gene is not discounted at all in the USA. It's still shows up as $9.99. It's not even showing up as a discounted game on TrueAchievements either. I believe that game was printed in error as most (if not all) of the games that are discounted are non backwards compatible and Space Invaders IG is backwards compatible. Oh, and I doubt Burnout 3 is going to get discounted. Several games were discounted in an error early on and never put on sale, and some of the games even got delisted.
I always considered burnout 3 to be the best racing game ever made, and NFSU 2 the second best. But that was never on the store. Unfortunately i cant start any doenloaded original xbox games on my 360 anymore. One day they just stoped working.
@@mexicangomez31 that's great information. I've been getting a lot of people complaining about this issue of OG Xbox games, so its good to know that the Hard Drive is the issue. Thanks!
@@mexicangomez31 yeah just the hard drive it came with. I think 120 or 250 GB. And the digital version, my physical broke a long long time ago unfortunately. But the halo on disk does work somehow, even though it has a burn mark on it.
Puedes empezar por el 1 , es bastante atmosférico y una experiencia única , recomiendo conseguir la trilogía que está en descuento precisamente , el 1,2 y 3..
quick question; the games that are backwards compatible are they going to still be able be bought on the xbox one/series X market place after they close the xbox 360 one ? or will they go away as well
Xbox has confirmed that the backwards compatible games will remain purchasable on the Xbox One /Series Marketplace after they close the 360 store. Thanks for watching! :)
Yep, absolutely! This is one of the games added in the first part of the sale. Check out all of them in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-88RU96YHo9c.html
Hey everyone I have a question, I searched up some of these games on the Xbox store on the Xbox one but I don’t see some of them and the ones I did find, aren’t on sale, do I have to log in the original Xbox 360 in order to see these games and their discounts?
Yeah, like Cranky said, this is focused on non-backwards compatible games. There are a few exceptions some people are reporting: SPace Invaders Infinity Gene and Black, for instance, are backwards compatible. But all of them must be purchased though the 360 itself or the 360 website.
I'll vouch for Mighty no.9. The game is hard and expects you to pay attention to the environment, learn the mechanics and systems, boss tells and not spam the dash button all the time. If you want a faster paced Megaman game it's pretty fun.
Yeah, I've only played a little bit, but liked the gameplay style. I think the issue was much more about what they promissed and did not deliver rather than the game on its own merits. Will play it more at some point
Decided to get Resident Evil 4 HD for the 360 about a month ago. I chose it over the gen8 ports that run at 60fps because I saw complaints it led to small bugs like the reload animation not playing at right speed. IIRC, the original game ran at 30fps and so do the gen7 hd ports for the 360 and ps3. I have not played any of these releases to verify yet though.
interesting. I did't find these complaints, but it totally makes sense. I played RE4 only twice, once on the GC when it came out and then way later on the Wii U the Wii version with motion controls. So I never tried any of these had to relay on other people. Amazing how many versions of RE4 exist such a wonderful game
It looks like a few more games were added to the list, Big League Sports, Blood Drive, GUN, Prototype, Prototype 2, Singularity, and The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon
Also I think you mentioned rush n’ attack ex patriot as one of the sale ones when actually the old arcade style rush n’ attack is the one that’s on sale
Yes, got that totally wrong, my apologies. Have added a warning card in the corner for viewers and added this correction to the pinned comment. Appreciate your help!
Weekly sales aren't usually worth mentioning. The games mentioned in the video, however, are worth mentioning as they will remain discounted until the store closure.
Is the store working for anyone? I keep trying to buy and get hit with error codes. So I bought a card and tried putting it into the 360 gave error. Then I put it online and tried purchasing that way. It accepted the gift card code but still doesn’t let me buy any 360 games. Online or on console both don’t work.
I get errors trying to buy games. And it signs me out to download an update. Then can’t download, another error. Otherwise 95% of the games are super cheap and it’s smooth sailing. Glad to have them in my library
@@FromTheVoidGames it feels like it’s 50/50 if it’ll work. But once it’s a no go. You should wait a few hours, then I can get 1-2 games. Then locked again. I cheer when it’s successful 😆
This is an amazing video. But sadly it will disappoint lots of people, because MS handling of the store is BS. Use the PC and it moves you to the new marketplace where the discounts are not reflected. Doing it in the 360 console and it always fail when adding payment methods.
@@CrankyMoogle That occurred to me but MS dont like my CC. Was thinking maybe getting an US based virtual card but havent found anything that seemed secure yet. But thanks for the advice. A real shame MS seems to be putting so much roadblocks, even people in the states seem to be having issues.
@Refreshment01 I'm from the US, and I've been buying the Xbox gift cards for years. As long as you redeem them on your PC first, you shouldn't have any issue buying games on the Xbox 360. I've heard lots of people had issues with their credit card and it seems like the Xbox gift card is the only thing that works but only if you redeem them on the Xbox website and NOT through the Xbox 360
@@CrankyMoogle Are you from US cranky? Anyway, to better explain myself. Cant add payment method directly on the 360. If using the PC i can add the payment option. However even in the PC i cant actually checkout due to MS blocking the card. Also cant buy the virtual gift cards because MS blocks the credit card. There are lots of people in this situation. MS who is all in in the digital transaction BS is losing a chunk on sales with this petty behavior. Would not buy anything directly from MS due to bs like this.
Really great and comprehensive video. Too bad I missed out in Remember Me. Playing it now on disc and it’s a lotta fun. Just wish I had got it digital and that unbeatable price point.
Dead rising 2 off the record is not able to be downloaded on the 360. I called Xbox and they said it can only be downloaded on Xbox one or Xbox series. Also according to a frogger wiki site, frogger hyper arcade edition is also on ps3 and it says Wii but that was probably when the eshop was open
@@VogueDistortion the games usually don't even show up when that's the case. DR2:CZ I had to change regions in order to download and play. But there are cases when you can buy in another region and just play it in yours. It's a mess!
Re-watching this to make sure I picked up everything worth grabbing. Casually listening to the video while I buy games using my phone and the Dead Rising trailer starts playing. That music just hits you immediately. It may be the best trailer in gaming history.
