the devour mechanic has changed whoever has the yellow mark needs to run towards the tank and then run back once the mark has disappeared meanwhile the current MT needs to run towards the group too. this insures that no one is devoured at all c:
Your guides have become my go-to for FF14 content. You're clear, direct and concise. I was going batshit listening to Mr. Happy drone on or make comments about his family/personal life and don't get me started with his ambiguous replays. And the Titan EX guide where he spends about 24 seconds reading the last phase rotation to you as if it's helpful. Keep it up! Your editing and annotations are on point.
Another method to handle Devour is LoS (Line of Sight.) Whoever is marked to be devoured runs to where the main tank is. The main tank runs to the group at the same time. When the yellow above the persons head vanishes, they run back through the boss to the group. As soon as the boss starts to cast spit the current MT gets back in position. This only requires two people to be moving, but tanks will want to put the bosses back to an open area for this strat or full left & right movement to break vines; lastly you'll want to stay grouped up for vines with devour until you see who has devour, then move to break.
So anyone have a summary of the new strategy? Only thing that seems different is person who's marked to be devoured runs at the tanks direction then back when the mark goes off. Is that it or am I missing something?
Jessjabog No, it's not ridiculous, it's logical. They are the main two posters of FF14 in depth guides, and they each have they're own style. It's completely natural to compare the two. Not everyone gets on youtube to fanboy. If we find a video that is good but comparable to another poster, we are happy to be directed to that poster through comments (positive or critical). YT videos comments with all praise and no criticism do not help viewers. The "if you can't praise me, then keep quiet" mentality is a disservice to those who just want to make an informed decision for themselves. We are help to do that by comparing posters to each other.
Jessjabog Because these two are the primary two posters for RU-vid strats and sometimes offer up different strategies. If you tend to watch both, you'll end up with a preference and comparisons too.
***** Well said. I have tried to watch Mr Happy's videos - he does cover the content, but his guides are too long. I absorb information better from MTQ; her guides are succinct and direct, with good recaps and bullet points. Very professionally done. There is one thing I would really like - to find a healer specific guide that is as good (or close to as good) as this guide. If anyone knows of any, please do comment or let me know directly. Thank you.
awesome guide as usual, we are doing the burn strat, but we are getting our faces smashed in on P3. We will definitely, maybe, hopefully kill Raffie this weekend!
Hi, may I know when should the tank swap take place ? Our group was quite confusing when the tanker was trying to swap and rotate the position. Sometimes the whole group just got hit by Bloody Caress ._. Our group is currently swapping at Stack 2, sometimes could be up to 3/4 due to messy situation.
may i ask what you use to blur out your chat log? i use OBS and i am trying to find an add-on that will blur my chat log like that. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks
haha! saw the vid again and noticed the "suck zone" reference from Twister :D your videos have been a huge help. they're simple and too the point and your voice makes it very easy to follow and listen to. looking forward to more :)
glade I came across this guide you are my new go to girl(might be the only one >.>) for guides your explanations are easy to grasp and your angelic voice is a big plus
My raid still stuck at nearly the end of P2 and will try again tonight.I already share your great as usual guide with them.Hope we can pass T6 and going for another turn :)
Thanks for the detailed tips! I always go to your guides first, no filler and explained well too. Also I have to say I'm impressed with the fights in Coil 2, very creative boss mechanics and a decent challenge.
