Tanong, Obserbasyon, at Opinyon. Daza's manifestation not to cite Roque in contemp showed malice and biased. Its definitely an unfair manifestation. First, it will be unfair to those who were cited the same in the past. the rules on their procedure is clear and it applies to all regardless if he/she was a former member the house.. Second, Daza is setting a precedent for future congressional hearings that lie now (honest or not), then apologize later? Third Daza's manifestaions put the Quad Comm and the whole congress to be seen as biased and its credibility tainted which should not be. Look at how pinaiikutan ni Roque and mga congressional hearing even by questioning the quad comm coram.

I would like to applaud the works and the performances of the following Congs: Congs Paduano, Pimentel, Luistro, Nograles, Gutierrez, Adiong, at Salo. They were the stand outs who fearlessly asked relevant questions to the witnesses and Roque. Hindi sila nagpatinag sa paikot ni Roque. Napaka tapang ni Cong. Salo na nag cite in contempt immediately after Roque lied in his testimonies. Bilib ako sa tapang at paninindigan ng mga Congs naito. Sad to say, I lost my trust and confidence in the integrity of the quadcom when Cong Abante held in abeyance the contempt motion of Roque. The same goes to Cong. Daza. These two are a disgrace. Wag na ninyo ituloy ang hearing na yan kung maduduwag din lang naman kayong magtanong at magdesisyon kung kinakailangan. Sayang ang effort ng ibang Congs na tunay na nagtratrabaho para palabasin ang katotohanan. Napakatagal ninyong desisyunan yung pag contempt kay Roque. Kitangkita na ang pagsisinungaling ni Roque since day 1. Nakakahiya kayo ang tagal ninyong nagdesisyun. Pinakita ninyo ang kahinaan ninyo. But I salute Cong. Paduano who relentlessly persuaded the rest to carry out the motion for contempt as well as those Congs, I mentioned above, who stood for the truth. Mga bata sila sainyo, pero napaka tatag nila. Agree mostly. Pero nilalahat ko na sila kasi puede naman nilang I over turn yung 24 hours na contempt ng mas matagal. Bakit 24 hours lang (minimum punishment, to show they acted) sinabi naman ni Salo ang dahilan, essentially kabaro nila. So unfair, Roque lies all the time. However, everybody make mistakes. Hope they can correct them.
I was also impressed with the eloquence and command of language, whether Tagalog or English, of the younger congs. No 'aahs' and long pauses - which when you count, add to the delay. Notorious for 'aaahs' and long pauses - itong si Cong Dan Fernandez.

There were resistance to the contempt and it took them almost an hour to come up with a decision to carry out the motion. That to me is a display of weakness. That's why I decided to post my very long comment to join the stand of those Congs who really fought for the truth. Congs Abante, Daza, Fernandez need to make a decision whether they can carry this out or not. You took the lead to ferret out the truth, so you said, in the beginning. So do it.

Watching from NJ. I am disturbed with the continuous interferences of Rep Dan Fernandez in the plenary session, supposed to be handled by the Chair, Rep Ace Barbers. Mr Fernandez should only talk when given the floor. Chair Ace Barbers before hand already informed the body there is a list of names to talk in order of preference from the list, yet he kept talking and intervening. It was stated before hand that resource persons will read their affidavits, followed by interpolation from the Reps in the Chair's list but Rep Dan, butt in on and off not aware of his constant stammering of words and often using "I wanted to" sentences, when he is to use the present tense, "I want to". "I wanted to" is a past action word. Please wait for your turn to talk Rep Dan after you are recognized. You seem to take over on and off during the hearing deliberations, which is the job of Rep Barbers to run the hearing.

I'm a bit disappointed to the committee showing weaknesses for Roque. Citing in contempt , it takes sometimes, several 1 minute breaks, Consumed lot of times ,did not follow the usuall procedures. Unfortunately, many questions raised by honorable representatives about income tax and final tax expose them to unfamiliarity with our tax laws. Because of their internal rules, the resource persons are not allowed to explain further their answers and this is a "good cover-up" of their inadequacies. With due respect to our legislators, their questions should also justify how they can relate such questions and answers to existing laws that need amendments as these hearings are supposedly conducted in aid of legislation, not persecution of resource speakers. Just my humble opinion.

Chairman Barbers does not know their own rules... there was clearly no objection pero he wanted to put the motion of citing Roque in contempt into a vote.
