Today's episode is a second look at Sim Update 15 (Beta), flying the Longitude from NZWN Wellington to NZQN Queenstown. Enroute, we look at a new performance tool called AutoFPS and I debrief my SU15 experience to date.
Sloppy pilotage is included at no extra charge, with buttons not pressed and procedures not followed.
And I've since discovered that the disappearing reverse thrust is an known issue with the Beta.

Thanks for your kind words in your video. I am glad you are finding the AutoFPS app useful. FYI, a new version will be released in the next couple of days offering refinements to the automation code, a new optional Auto OLOD feature and the ability to put the app on top of your MSFS session on a single monitor so you can see what the tool is doing.

You always seem to end up approaching NZQN from that end with the long straight in easy approach and the short taxi. I prefer coming down over the lake, much prettier, and with a bonus last second turn to very short final that separates the serious simmers from the boys :) I've never yet got it right but dang I've had some fun trying.

Speaking of tools, Flow Pro is also pretty awesome. But I mainly use it to pause the time of day. 😂 Can't get enough of those sunrises/sunsets.

Use that livery myself for the Longitude, probably my favourite for it. If you have a Bravo your reversers may have died like mine because of the terrible wiring, where it snaps off the throttle leavers.

Another Good video I reckon but SU 15 still scares me though. I hope the glass panel read out will be more clear then it is now. those numbers sometimes hard to see.

Thanks mate. I'm not sure what's ahead in later releases of SU15, but there's been no change in the glass noticeable to me so far. I can barely read the displays, but then again, sometimes that's a good thing :)

SU15 Beta can be fixed for all console users by disabling the new beta replay mode in the Toolbar when in an aircraft. If you leave this feature enabled avionics and FMC and FMS no longer operate and there will also be black screens and huge stutters and FPS drops as this replay feature is drawing on a MEM leak and has not been rectified. Spread the word Flying Dad!!!!!!!!!!@@theflyingdad
