So so helpful!!! I loved the second part of the vid for tips and also the first part about your review of the stores. Your Perspectives about the prices are helpful because you don't find that kind of info easily!
to be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are *esluxscom* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do
I’m in Osaka now! I took your advice and bought some bags, a bag charm, and a wallet from Riz, Ginzo, and Brand off. I loved Riz and Ginzo. They had such nice staff.
This excellent advice, as you have excellent knowledge as it's so stressful purchasing second hand luxury goods especially when purchasing in a foreign country but you have given me the insider knowledge ! Thank you
Wow your video so useful . Im in osaka and stay in this area right now. Been few hotels 😅. There are countless luxury vintage shop. First let me start they're not much cheaper or find good deal like many think. I will start hunting tomorrow .
Thank you so much! Yes there are so many of them in the area. And agree that the price points aren't necessarily cheap! Hope you manage to find something that you like :)
Thank you so much Lynn, so glad that you enjoyed it! Reading your comment really made my day. ☺️ See you around here soon and feel free to check out my other what to buy from Japan videos! 🥰🥰
Hi! I am going to Japan in a month and your content was exactly what I needed, thank you so much! 😊 One question: did you noticed other Hermes bags such as constance and picotin? I know Kelly and birkin are the most popular ones, but I was wondering if I might find other types well priced. 🤔
Hi! You’re welcome glad that it was useful! I saw a few picotins but did not see any constances. Picotins were in good condition, prices were about 10 percent off retail today if I recall :) Have a lovely trip to Japan!
*#amzrepx* You are so well-informed about luxury accessories and bags. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much.
No matter the appearance or the metal parts of the MOMCOCO ’s bags I believe that as long as you are not a practitioner, you will never see any difference
Thanks for your videos❤️. Is there a shop that sell Goyard but not the St Louis only, like any other Goyard bags. Or are they just selling mostly the St Louis? Thanks in advance 😘
Hey there, im not sure about beauty treatments in Japan. But for shopping, I like to stay at either ginza or shibuya. Ginza has the main shopping street with big brands while shibuya has a lot of malls with smaller Japanese brands and it is a vibrant place 😊😊
It’s my pleasure! ☺️☺️ yes of course, there’s always a risk of buying non authentic stuff when it’s second hand. I would always familiarize myself with things to check (zips/ leather/ stitching/ serial number etc) and would also pay for online authentication. 🙏 I’m most familiar with Chanel and did a video on tips to look out for if you’re interested!
Why is birkin so expensive 😮? It doesn’t even look nice 😅 You have a warm smile and soothing voice. Have been following your videos. Thanks for the tips!
It is very expensive indeed! I still cannot bear shelling out that amount of money on a bag at this stage of my life. Thank you for your kind words and for watching all the videos! It means alot to me :) See you around here again soon!
Yes there are very similar ones in Tokyo but I find pricing to be slightly higher. I’ll look to do a video on Tokyo one day :) I’ve just uploaded a video on shopping second hand from Japan if you would like to ship internationally which may be helpful.
You can never be 100 percent sure and would also encourage you to do a third party authentication/ cross check with your own knowledge and research. Having said that, I personally feel Japan is one of the safer places to buy second hand luxury items because of strict laws that are in place because of counterfeit. In my secondhand luxury shopping from Japan part 2 video, I talked about purchasing from ZenPlus where they have been super professional. They mentioned they have found fakes before and have done a full refund.
Japan is one of the countries with strict laws on counterfeits. Each store does their own inspection when they procure and some of them also get extra authentication. However, with buying second hand there is always a risk. I would usually do my own checks (I’m only familiar with chanel) and will also pay for a third party authentication service.
Hi! I am from Singapore. Thank you for sharing! I never been to Japan traveling. Is there Airbnb in Japan? Do you have video of price comparison in between the hotel and Airbnb? Thank you and have a nice day!
Hi there! Yes there is Airbnb in Japan. I’ve stayed in both airbnbs and hotels. There are definitely pros and cons to each. Airbnb is a more cost efficient option and you also get to experience different Japanese homes. There are really beautiful ones especially outside Tokyo 😊 for hotels I like it for the concierge / restaurant booking services and that there are fresh towels everyday! Have a nice day too and thanks for watching! 🤗
Could you let me know which timing of the video this is at? At the start of the section I have listed the store name and have also put details of the address in the description box. Hope this helps!
Hi there, thanks for the question :) I did not visit shops in harajuku but I did pop by some stores in ginza and omotesando. In my opinion Osaka definitely had more choices/ selection and prices were better than Tokyo.
@@gorillasinheels Is it easy and safe to carry cash around in Japan as a tourist ? I'll be going there next year and I have no idea how I should carry my money around, especially since I want to buy vinatge designer bags?
Thanks for watching and for the question! I did not see any goyard keepalls or cabin bags, the only goyard items I saw were the St Louis totes in both PM and GM size. The prices were high though, and often similar to retail prices. For Louis Vuitton, I did see maybe 1-2 pieces of keepalls. The variety of LV available was huge and LV could be found in almost every store. Enjoy your trip to Osaka!
Can you comment on the laws regarding counterfeit bags in Japan? I've heard they're rather strict, but I've also seen several posts in the last few months showing counterfeit bags that were purchased there. Thanks!
Thank you for your question, it's a great one! You can never be too sure when you are buying second hand. For me, I am only familiar with Chanel bags, so I will check all the different parts of the bag before buying (I did a video on how to authenticate a chanel bag, you may check that out if you're interested). I would also ask the sales associate if there is a return policy if bag is found to be not authentic. What I would do is to take pictures/ send it to an authenticator site to get the bag authenticated and pay for express service for result (they can respond within 24 hours) before I leave Japan.
Hey! I looking for loewe puzzle bag and bvlgari serpenti forever crossbody bag. Do know if show are selling this brands? or just chanel, Lv och hermes? Thank you fot helpful video! :)
Thanks for the question! I didn’t see the loewe puzzle bag and didn’t see any bulgari bags. Some of the larger stores did carry other brands but Chanel LV and Hermes are the main ones. ☺️
Hi planing to visit osaka soon. Thanks for sharing this video. Just want to ask your opinion do you think it’s cheaper to buy in osaka store or from online Japanese seller?
I find that it’s cheaper to buy directly from stores in Japan. You don’t have to pay for shipping charges, you also get tax free and they sometimes also have additional promotions and discounts.
Hello 😊 All the shops I mentioned sell authentic bags. For me personally, I feel Japan is one of the safer countries to buy second hand bags. However you can never be too sure and it always helps if you can do you own verification/ authentication based on what you know of the brand. I’m more familiar with Chanel and have done video on what to look out for, so check that out if you’re interested, hope that is helpful 🙏☺️
You’ll probably find a few pieces in the larger shops but I found that Hermes Chanel and Louis Vuitton had the largest variety and selection. Have a wonderful trip to Osaka! 😊
I didn’t see any of the black neverfulls when I was there. Only the monogrammed version, damier ebene and damier azur 😊 just visit different shops, you may be lucky to find one when you’re there!
Hi Brenda, I did not pay close attention to the jewelry prices so I would not be able to provide an informed answer. There were alot of shops that did jewelry as well as bags and since they’re all within walking distance you can check all of them out. Let me know if you do visit! Have a good trip to Japan! 😊😊
Hello, I would like to know if it’s possible to buy without duty free. I think it’s so complicated that I rather pay full price. If price is already lower than I what would pay for me it’s ok. I live in Europe while I am a US citizen…and after my trip to Japan, I will be visiting both countries so I don’t know where to file my custom documents so I rather not have the discount. Traveling it’s getting so complicated!
When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from *topluxs* on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.
I am not sure about Yokohama but Tokyo prices are higher than Osaka's in general. I visited a pop up store which sold vintage chanel somewhere in Ginza in my last trip but I'm not sure if it's still there. I have not really checked out second hand luxury stores in Tokyo!
I really like your channel. I'm going to Japan in June and I'm inspired by your video. I want to ask you if I can pay the price for an expensive bag partly in cash and partly by card ?
I am on my way to Japan as a tourist. All your videos are very well explained and informative. Thank you . If you can suggest where I can get vintage tea cups I will be great full .
Do the second hand shops sell a lot of Samantha Vega/Thavasa bags? I don’t see many RU-vidrs talk about it when they do luxury brand shopping in Japan. I love the Japanese luxury brands.
Thank you for watching! I did not check out a lot of second hand luxury stores in Tokyo but I would be uploading a video on what to buy in Tokyo later in the week! Hope that it will provide some useful information for your trip! ☺️☺️🙏
The eight stores that I talked about are the ones that I visited and would recommend in Osaka. Addresses can be found in the description box :) I like the 3rd and 5th for price point but the rest for selection. Yes I found that the prices in Osaka were slightly lower than Tokyo. Hope you find this useful.
Hi! Thank you for the informative video! When you were in Osaka, did you see any Hermes mini Lindy bags or Chanel backpacks? I will be traveling there in November. Thank you!
Thank you for watching 😊😊 I only saw 26 and 30cm Lindys, I don’t recall seeing any minis but maybe it’s because I wasn’t looking for it specifically! Yes there were Chanel backpacks, there’re lots of Chanels 😊😊
Yes I know not everyone can afford these bags, but wouldn't people want to know other people's experiences with this bag before wasting their money? Like other RU-vidrs have said about this bag, I got a *condup* and I'm very happy with my bag. Thanks to the blogger, I showed this video to my sister and now she will definitely get the Louis Vuitton bag she has always wanted! Love this kind of videos!!
There is a selection of LV in almost all the shops that I visited. I would check out the 3rd (Riz) and 7th store (Ticketbrand, Daikoukuya) that I mentioned in my video, I found that they had the widest selection with a reasonable price point. Enjoy your trip to Japan and hope you manage to find some goodies!
