Randy! I used to work at BMW in Minnesota here and we would send our vehicles to Auction if the new ones are out and about to be dropped off to us, everything from the previous year if it’s not sold by the end of the year especially if there’s a redesign, whatever’s left for that year, they will send to Auction because obviously it won’t be as worth the money it was when it first came out. So my guess is that Cadillac was a left over from 2020, and they probably have 2021 and 2022 models on their lot so trying to sell a brand new 2020 would be hard for them, versus just sending it down to an auction! My small 2cents! 😅👌👌👌
Many dealerships have their used vehicles on floor plan financing. They get 90 days no interest. If it's on the lot too long it starts costing money so the used car manager will put it through the auction to try to at least break even and move on to the next one. As far as the strut tower, looks to me like someone bought the undercoat in the finance office and the person applying it was sloppy. You'll notice the white tower is partially black.
I used to work at a dealership and the reason we would wholesale/ send vehicles to auction was they wouldn't sell or we owned them for too much money. With monthly depreciation factoring in, we lose too much depending on the market and we would sometimes get to the point where the bank would only allow the buyer an amount for less than we owned it for so they would send them to the auction in hopes they would at least break even.
Honestly, the dodge ram trx is fantastic. The fender can be replaced, and the rest of the dings can be fixable. The dodge ram power wagon you have is a fantastic truck and excellent, but I prefer the trx way better.
$2500 for that jag is full blown retail around here even with the high market never a shortage of them for sale I always have liked the x type of the newer ones but I don’t need a headache already have enough of them with gms and a junk Honda lol nice vid
main reason dealers send it to auctions is because if they have an insurance claim they cannot sell they vehicle as a certified used vehicles so they gotta go
My guess what that Cadillac was it was on a lease, And the person got into a wreck while they leased it, but it didn’t total it so their insurance put it back together like new again and then the owner probably traded it in or moved onto a new lease but the dealer doesn’t want to sell that one on their lot so they sent it to Auction
You may have called it right on the Cadillac. Dealerships realize that they can make a lot more at an auction then put in the work and have it sitting on their lot taking up space. If it wasn't in a accident and came from the factory like that it would cost the dealership a lot out of pocket to send back and get redone from the factory. The other aspect is that if a car is used as a loaner for the dealership they normally will let it go when it hits 22-24k miles. But seeing the strut tower/ overspray and the issues you pointed out I'm betting that the dealership just decided it's not worth the investment to and decided to send it to an auction.
Randy I don't know if you this in the caddy but I did see kind of another sign of a wreck that was the knee bolster airbag seemed deployed as well it very well could be something else but i feel its blown knee airbag , but still all the three cars especially the TRX today were good epic finds !!
I think on the Cadillac Randy it might boil down to cash flow if it was a trade-in and they own it it's better to make it liquid especially during this time
OMG!! First, I haven't been a big fan of the RAM T-Rex Trucks, until I saw this beautiful black, with the light bar, truck in your video and now I have to ask, "How dah (as the kids say today) feck did you 5 walk away from that???" I want it man. HOLY SHITI thought that white spot was a huge bird shit, which would have meant it was scared shitless before it died. LMAO. I really really really like that truck and I never liked it even when James from Stradman showed his. But now I can't stop watching this and thinking about it. I'm like you, I buy cars like they are my wife's shoes. So she is gonna hate me. Lol Keep up the great work man.
I was looking at a 2001 S-Type 3.0 at a local used car dealership yesterday. But they wanted $7900, and they wouldn't budge on the price. it only had 60,000 miles though
The Jaguar S-type is a steal...as Randy and I agree not to disagree for US2,500/- only...I used to own one 1999 make and it's silky smooth ride 😉 ....Good flip if Randy secured it...regards from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 🇲🇾...
Hmm jag looks pretty good! Definitely a good deal like you said in today’s market! The Ram is nice don’t they go for 100k? Definitely tempting!! Damn Randy good eye on the caddy! Also i hope your keeping hydrated!
Good morning randy and just a heads up that trx going for 75ish grand that's cheap think cuz brand new they are going for over 100k and that's with low miles just something to think about me I wud get it but I have a trx4
Love the jag !! My dad had a soft Spot for euro cars bmw Benz and jags , just Built different , had a few sabs too back in the day , Dunno if they still make those
4:35 Luv ( The Ramerous) 4x4 pickup & it's a hellcat powerplant under hood yess but on $75k price tag even has special kool toolbox like one u have Randy. Heads or tails on 2020 Cadillac SUV but she runs awesome low miles too.
It’s insane that $2500 is considered such a good deal… don’t get me wrong, it is, but up here in Maine you can by a vehicle for $1000 and put $300 into them and they are road legal
randy something to watch out for I've seen brand new vehicles that have electrical gremlins problems with the electronics that come and go honestly it's a bigger problem than most people realize I've seen multiple brand new vehicles have to get all new wiring harnesses which I can say cost a lot especially now parts are getting more expensive so sadly in the end as time goes I expect possibly seeing cars that are brand new being sold at auctions instead of repaired due to cost
I wanted my parents to buy a T6. Bigger than the grand Cherokee, smaller than a Tahoe. I drive a GLK and won’t let go of that anytime soon. Question for any car gurus out there.. We bought my son a used CX-5. The car runs great, but there is a sound coming from the front wheel. It makes high-pitched noise after driving a while, with each rotation of the wheel. Sometimes when applying the brakes, sometimes not. Checked the parking brake, it’s fully disengaged. But does sound like a high pitch sheet metal noise. Ideas??
It’s less headache in and make more money they don’t have to Haggalla deal with customers and they make more money from the auction then sell it on the lot
I believe cars big dealerships get sold because that they are on the floor plan for too long and they might have a policy dictating that they have to send it to auction or they have problems 🤷♂️ who knows any more
