Wow, this is so intriguing for so many reasons.. For one, there are other similar sites in present-day India that are known to have been inhabited by Pandavas during their exile... more on this here, en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamyaka_Forest#:~:text=In%20the%20Vana%20Parva%20of,replete%20with%20game%20and%20birds. I have visited a few of those sites in Himachal (Hidimba temple near Kullu and others in Maharashtra and south-western Gujarata) Two, I really wonder what route they would have taken at what stages of their exile ? Three, how many Indian cricketers have visited such sites of such historically immense significance? At least they used to be able to travel to Pakistan some years ago..
Let me give you a hint about kaurav , what was Duryudhan mothers name ? Gandhari and why was Gandhara n her name similar.. as kauravs ruled gandhara which was taxila pakistan and places near it.. and pandavs ran from gandhara to chakwal bhaun area where they participated in the swamber of darupadi.. the exile was 11 years so maybe they went to present days india as well
@HumbleClicks correct.. even now, ppl in many communities keep their surnames after their village names or dynastic names.. Examples Guptas, Mauryas, Kansals, Yadav, etc. That's common in India even now. My understanding is that their kingdom was based in Indraprastha, now near Delhi. So if you see the locations where they traveled during their exile, it is quite vast. Esp when the horses were not domesticated and used for riding or even the wheels were not invented(wheels were invented just before the Bronze age). Traveling so far and wide raises curiosity and the heart wants to ask more questions. That's all...
