I’m so glad I remembered this secret when playing the game so I could then lose an amount of time to Gaster deciding to show up during my Oblit speedrun

Deltatraveler Section 3 and Undertale Yellow both having lore on unofficial human soul experimentation feels like an interesting coincidence. Nothing more to it then that, but it’s definitely noticeable with them dropping in the same month!

After the original stream almost a year ago finished, I noticed the VOD was missing and the discord was talking about how Gaster was never in this fangame. I knew what happened but I just thought it was so cool how Sarah and you decided to make this practically lost media, made this moment so much more memorable.

If you abort obliteration on, say, snowdrake before this interaction and then pay gaster a visit, Noelle will say something along the lines of “if you were serious about not having control, you would’ve done it” after the interaction.

In Obliteration, he turns right. In Pacifist, he turns left. I have no idea what this means but it's a nice little detail.

Dang, Gaster has both jaundice and conjunctivitis in his eyes...

God, I fucking LOST it seeing this for the first time and Gaster addressed me by name. That shit was terrifying.

There's ONE variation of this scene (and the ensuing conversation with Noelle and Susie) that you didn't show off: Aborted Obliteration during section 3. That has probably the most chilling Noelle line in the entire game (no pun intended).

Shayy, here’s a part of the secret that you DIDNT show: If you abort oblit by sparing snowy ONLY and then proceed to get the gaster room, Noelle has different diolouge.

Would you believe that I got this on my first try? It was back when the first half of Section 3 was released. I wasn't even on Obliteration or anything. I just went up into that room and BOOM, Gaster. 😅

I think what I liked about Undertale Yellow so much was that it didn’t give loads of exposition about the backstory. It really set it apart from literally every other Undertale fangame ‘, :/

FUN FACT: In my playthrough the first time I went there I found Gaster. i didn't do the back and forth thing. It's was a complete accident LOL.

I got that fucking cutscene on my first try by accident on my first run through obliteration route and I genuinely shouted in fear and confusion when I saw Gaster there, I will recite what I said on a group chat of the moment that this happened "erm what the flip" That's how crazy this was

Unfortunately I already got spoiled of that Gaster scene with the eyes due to other people online, but it's nice that you were trying to keep it secret for a while. Still a really cool cutscene though! ngl, it's kinda disappointing that secrets can't remain secrets for long online. People always hunting them down just to maybe be the first online to document them. Even if they are, people don't remember them for discovering it, more so they remember the secret itself when shown. Maybe it's just me, but that's a thought I had when seeing this Gaster scene.
