So unusual to find an untouched place like this location! No graffiti! The fact that so many of these kinds of locations even have the doors stripped has made me wonder if there was a concerted effort after the war to systematically go around and take materials from these locations. Great find my friend. Recon photos could miss the bulk of the complex. The main tunnel was some nice work, with a side plus of some beautiful granite. Very impressive, brilliant explore. I really do think that when you find stuff disconnected from the structure and just lying there rotting it is quite acceptable to take it with you, at least then it will be preserved and more history is shared, it's no use to anyone as a pile of brown rust flakes.

What an experience it must have been to be on that location WW2HH, and thanks for taking us with you! A few surprises there, and maybe more to come? When I see these German defence positions or bunkers, I always wonder at the enormous amount of labour and logistics required to construct them, particularly in such a difficult location such as this one. A lot of effort went into this position, and I wonder if it ever saw action? Can’t wait for the next adventure, so keep them coming. Stay safe, and greetings from Australia!
@WW2HistoryHunter
@WW2HistoryHunter 2 года назад
Many of the locations like these are important parts of a larger set up the Germans had in certain areas. They built a total defense system often around a large " investment " to protect that. This is one of such positions. Thanks for watching Gary.

What a fascinating find! I wonder if those hooks in the rock wall were used to hang power cables running into the tunnels… like from an external generator, maybe.

You would need the power generator inside, with all the doors locked and sealed. Probably for camouflage nets, or rope to help you up the slopes.
