@@Takintomori Same in plat, if you are under turret, bro just play safe, i will help other lanes. Get doven, flamed. If you push, bro you are pushed I will only gank if they push, you get flamed
@@ronstrobos5540 i swear like they say play safe but if you get dove by the enemy kindred and darius at full health wtf are you gonna do? and then he flames like for being bad at the game like what
"Wait for your jungler to come" I played her against a Kayle, and my jungler didn't even bother to come once while I was being perma shoved under my turret.
I think against Kayle your main goal is to deny her CS which means you could shove her under turret, and wait for her to come out every time the wave bounces back. Sad that your Jungler didn't come as Kayle is extremely easy to abuse.
@@wickdlol I thought the same. I took ghost over ignite so I don't get kited. I denied her first wave, and traded ghost with her flash level 1. Tried to freeze the wave under my turret to set up ganks, but their jungler helped her to break the freeze several times. Our mid ganked twice for easy kills, but our jungler never came. Unlucky.
Amazing content as always Wickd, these matchup guides are so helpful, especially for someone trying to learn top lane for the first time in a while. Thanks so much!
to answer QOT : im rooting for G2 atm but back in the day in season 2-3 my favorite team was clgeu and you were my fav player, you inspired me to start playing top and learn irelia. i stopped playing League since then because College but with the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown i got back to it (imagine my reaction when i see they changed irelia). so glad to see you still hanging around and helping us learn the game, thx alot man !!
hey wickd would be nice a guide about how to play gwen in team fights. In my expierence with gwen i can confirm that is so easy stomp your lane with her, winning the most of the 1vs1, but in team fight is hard as fck to play, i dont really know how to optimice her
Yo Spyrex I might look into it. I don't really know how I would do teamfight videos and appeal to a broader audience, but perhaps I come up with something
Gwen can be played both front to back and flanking in teamfights. If you're flanking, you wanna wait till key cooldowns are burned before surprising the enemy team. If you're playing front to back, you wanna chill and hit the front line while sniping the enemy backline with your ult. They can't do anything to you because of your w and the bonus is that you will ALSO hit the enemy front line with your r. It's kind of like a scuffed morde R that creates a 1v1 between you and the enemy frontline but you can heavily chunk their whole team and the same time.
The sub was worth it :) Had a Mordekaiser Matchup in one of my first games and it seemed like he gave already up after I dodged all his skills for 5 mins :D
seems like in most situations the advice is simply, play passive and wait for a jg to gank. like, this doesn't seem like gwen is even worth playing. which is unfortunate cuz she's fun. but I've found her hard to be aggressive with. she's squishy and doesn't get any kind of damage output until late game and anything with range absolutely demolishes her.
Not to be rude, but why does that make her better into melees, I understand she is kiting them as you are implying but it still doesn’t make sense on why you’d prefer someone you are vulnerable to compared to someone that basically cannot touch you.
@@armanroyai6601 Because Gwen is limited with what she can do against Ranged champions. Her Q is extremely short range, and she doesn't have any ways to really catch most ranged champions especially in team fights. Yes her W is good against Ranged for a limited amount of time. That's also why it's good against Melees because in team fights you can activate W while killing their Melees which is what Gwen is amazing at
You know whats werid, Gnarr is one of the champs i hate most, completly screws over my top lane champ pool, but since picking up Gwen, ive not met a Gnarr i cant dumpster. Something about her playstyle or the way i play her into Gnarr, just counters him (Obvs its still abit skill matched, playing around Gnarrs form).
Can you please explain how to beat Urgot? I laned against him as Gwen and was shocked by how devastating his dash was. The shield was too much for my Q, the stun took me out of the trade, and the damage he dealt in the meantime was insane. Please tell me how to beat this absolute monster.
This is pretty old but urgot has a wind up before he actually dashes so just save ur dash for his dash and u should win. And if he flashes with the dash it’s less react-able u can probably flash as soon as he flashes or disengage with tp, and his flash is slightly more reactable to dodge sideways so keep some flash distance if you feel you’re in kill hp range bc that’s mostly likely when he’ll use the dash flash
i watched the jax part before my game (mmr dia 1-2 euw), and its exactly like it is it feels like jax is stronger but if u keep ur q in lane he cant do anything
@@gafroninja It's a hard matchup, but I promise that it's winable. Maybe I will make a guide on how to play Jax into Gwen as you need to do some very specific things to win it
aslong as you can play around fiora's w you win every trade aslong as you have her in the center of your q, and you have the mobility to match (E). if you can waste her w then she's actually very weak. However you are weaker then her in early game, so i suggest giant poke and run, if you can stack your autos that is.
Main thing about Fiora is to stop her from hitting the initial vital during short trades. If she hits it she wins, but if you deny it you win. Try to bait her Q out by making her think she can hit it without being able to.
Best team to watch is G2 it is still fun to see what they do when they are at disadvantage they will choose what to prioritize and sacrifice Best player is nuguri he is really fun towatch bc he has insane mechanics
You wait for your afk to come from base ? Buddy what's a jg they don't know top exist before gnar is 5/0 then they somehow learned you died 5 times already and then they say that you don't gank already lost lane
No, no, no, no, no Gwen does not beat Aatrox, nope, just no. I have played that matchup as Aatrox around 8 or 9 times and have demolished every Gwen ive seen. Every time I see the enemy pick Gwen I insta lock Aatrox. He is so good at keeping her at arms length and just smashing her with his q. At full health with ult she wins but she is you are never going to be lower on health than she is so it doesn't matter.
In your previous video 'How to Play Gwen' you advise to play agrressive early, saying that Gwen is the strongest champ in game at level 1, but here you say to stay back and play safe until level 6. So which is it? I know that champs are constantly getting altered which is why the advice is probably different.
How to beat your opponent with gwen? „wait for your jgl“ Yeah thanks i dont have a jgl. Or at least he doesnt accept the existence of top lane while the enemy jgl has nothing better to do than sit in the bush for 15 mins falling like 5 levels behind just to kill you anyways because lol says so
Sadly there are some matchups where you have to wait for jungler. I didn't say that in all the matchups tho as there are some champions where jungle isn't important.
gwen needs buff and just look at the statics : she is the worst champion with tier D ranked and 49% win rate . Unless u r grandmaster rank and dont play her ,she is nightmare for average players .She has no effective mechanic to avoid poke and she is super tomato for team playing.🤣 gwen is super useless if enemy has oneshot champion and sort u all in an instant .
@@frey205 she had a 20 cs lead against enemy kha’zix and they’re same level but mr. kha’zix had 10 assist and all drags while miss eve was still 0/0/0😂😂
