She never really had any family or stability. No father, a mother who was mentally unwell and abandoned her. She grew up in foster homes and an orphanage. Her brother who she never really knew died in his teens before they could have a relationship, and it wasn’t until she became Marilyn Monroe that she knew or had a relationship with the only family she had left, her sister. Trying to deal with the genetic mental illness would be hard enough, but she also had abandonment trauma and likely sexual abuse on top of that. She had a really lonely and broken life 💔
