I wish it would occur to them to drop the toughness of it to 2 instead of increasing the Mana cost.

@@ThinkShink It certainly did. But they are clearly very committed to making the Classic set _much_ weaker and so it's not surprising they preferred to destroy it instead. I thought they would do the same to Preparation and was pleasantly surprised to see them choose a gentler nerf.

Quest Pally has been a pain for me

I've beaten quest shaman with quest rogue twice now, but one seemed like a budget version and prolly depends on rng with the random cards

Secret mage looks pretty bad but slotting the new quest into the giant mage we literally just had seems like it should still be exactly as degenerate, except now you can't run them out of resources once the giants are gone.

Literally wasn't a thing last expamsion...

To be fair I played freeze/cyclone mage today. 32-20, literally no new cards. Losing to hunters and zoolocks, winning every other match up, so I'm not sure this secret mage is going places yet lul

Atleast this is a completely different direction for mage and doesnt just make cyclone better.

@@luminous3558 The quest does though and based on my limited experience so far it's stupidly easy to complete thanks to the twinspells and magic trick. Printing only one new card for an old deck can still be a problem if the card is bonkers enough.

Even that combo is still pretty weak lol. It thins out your deck, which isn't actually good since you're not running much top end and still dies to almost all AOE

@@Radarssbm exactly, I was playing cultist rogue and hadn't drawn my FoK Thalnos combo so gg to me

I mean, Firebat had counterspell for most of the time. This deck runs like 4 spells (2 prismatic, 2 tips), so the primastic would probably get countered. About the deck being thinned out, I've played against a guy running Nomi as finisher and I was like W00T. Unfortunately for him I was playing freeze mage (yeap, no new cards :v) and Nomi couldn't stop give giants already in play... lul

I forgot which part but in one of trumps reveal episodes he discussed the factors that affected the wish

Board state, mana availability, hand size and most likely life totals as it can spot lethal and generate accordingly and I'd guess it can heal you out of lethal range too. I know there's more but those are the basics.

Well I can say with 8 mana, my opponent having a Tundra Rhino and 3 Hounds with 1 HP each, one of my choices was the 6 drop infernal. It was a good wish. :)

It's literally day one with a deck that's probably not even good.
