They aren't, it's just a theory based on Staryu and Starmie's similarity to Deoxys Edit: you know y'all, my bad. Out of all the Pokémon out there Staryu and Starmie were some of the most boring designs ever so i never really bothered to check on them and assumed the alien thing was some odd fan assumptions. Well, i checked and apparently you were right. They have a connection to the stars and are implied/rumored to be aliens. (Cool, still far from my favorite Pokémon.) Acctually, i realised these two have few connections to Deoxys and even Eternatus. They come from space and they're alive thanks to the "cores" in the middle of their bodies. Checks out. Theory time: What if they're invasive species that came from space in search for Eternatus? They want it back cause it's their god and old source of power?
@@Kyumifun Then why does Starmine shoot Radio Waves out of it's face constantly? Why do you get a headache if you're close enough to it? It is 💯 percent alien!
These are the things we want in modern pokemon games. Not new gimmicks, or pokemon given out for no reason. Actual world building and creativity. Mystery and suspense.
Honestly, this side story/event should have also been tied to Lunastone, Lunala, Celeste, minior, Jirachi, and Cresselia as all these Pokémon deal with Space , stars, and the Moon like Lunastone should get a split evo for either a Lunar eclipse and Cresselia should get a Paradox form
I knew about the clefairies dancing on monday nights cuz one day as a kid I stood up late playing and was just roaming Kanto trying to finish my pokedex and accidentally stumbled across this little event, I thought it was a really cool little bit they added, but I actually never really noticed the change in the capture rates and levels of the pokemon in the pond so that's actually new info for me 😅
These little hidden details and special cutscenes were what made the generations 3,4 and 5 so intresting and fascinating. Sadly in the recent generations they have become way more sporadic.
You are aware that this was also in Gen2, right? The dancing clefaries left behind a moon stone every Monday night of you happened to watch them. You needed rock smash for it though... But the dancing to music was already a thing in vanilla gen 2.
I didn't know about the spawnrates, but I knew about the event and item drop. I love when Pokemon includes such small details but each of them makes a difference like this one. I love to watch these adorable clefairys
This is actually pretty cool I didn’t know this even happened thanks. If you know of any other cool things people might not know about in the games please make more videos on them it’s fun to learn these things!
There is a similar cutscene in Arceus. And after the Teal Mask DLC releases 13 September, there will be Mass Outbreaks featuring Clefairy to celebrate!
Fun fact for your next video: There are over 161,339,817,384,300,000 possible combinations of how to do all of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s 21 total designated story map events in various orders. (8 Gyms, 5 Titans, 5 Star bases, and the 3 extra quests right before the endgame)
@@plum6999 The specific way I found this was by taking all possible combinations of the 18 “type specialist” story events, and then multiplying by six to account for all possible combinations that Nemona, Arven, and Penny can be interacted with once each of their own main storylines was completed. I did it this way instead of 21 times 20 times 19 times 18… et cetera et cetera, since those extra quests have to be accessed after you do previous story events.
How is it that many of the creators places all these little nuances in the game, and just say back in satisfaction, knowing they would be discovered one day
Never realised it changed the encounter ratio...but there's lots of event in HG and SS that are tied to days and times, your lapras being one of them 😅
Yeah, this is something they brought to the remakes from Crystal. I’ve been playing Crystal and went out of my way to see the Clefairy. Cool to see it was kept for the remakes.
I've seen that cutscene in my game. Didn't know it was a secret one or about the % changes in the spawn rates, though. Neat to find out new stuff about old games.
interesting. i had a hgss guide book when i was a kid and i cant remember if it mentioned this. i sure as hell never experienced this playing the game naturally
Why would that be hidden or a secret? The spot and time was how you got moonstones in vanilla gen 2. So obviously they included some event in the remakes as well...
Damn, they should really name an attack "moonlight serenade" just for that, seriously why we do not have *night* has a terrain modifier (like sun), that would be cool ngl
WOWW now I can get 40 lvl magicarps and more poliwags! What a worthwhile Easter egg. Oh and this video is amazing too! I’m so glad I know about this now
Have you ever checked if the spawn rates simply change at night, just like any other routes? I mean maybe it's just the time and the Clefairy don't have nothing to do about it.
This game is peak in both what a pokemon game and remake should be. I give a shiny charmander from emerald with the "living legend" title titles on wonder trade. If you get one I love you❤
