This is a beautiful and powerful interpretation of a truly great song. It's really bursting with feeling and lyricism, and feels like it would go perfectly with a short film. Bravo!
Thank you so much! That’s such an inspiring compliment because I’d started working on a short film but it stalled a while ago. Your words are much appreciated!
@@ZeroChannelZero You are most welcome. You have an exceptional gift and I have thoroughly enjoyed discovering your videos here. Is there somewhere else we can find your music? And this is a complete punt, but where are you located? If you're anywhere near Oakland, CA I'd love to work together on something. But that wasn't the intention of my first comment at all. I just love this interpretation of a big favourite song and was delighted to find it and your other work here.
@@milesian1 Man I wish I was on your side of the world, but I'm currently located on the east coast NYC/Philly corridor. I visited Oakland & SF a few years ago and loved it, so ya never know... As for more of my music, thanks for asking! For now it's just a couple clips here on youtube; although I have hard drives full of the stuff, it's not quite fit for human consumption 😬
What a fantastic adaptation of this song! I was skeptical as to what it might be like, but it is, in its own way, fully as a enjoyable as the original. Very creative adaptation and an excellent vocal performance.
@matran47 Thanks! A compliment from a skeptic is the highest praise in all the land. Yup, I took extreme liberties as you probably noticed. The original cannot be improved upon, so I figured I'd try something completely different. I'm glad it worked for you!
Awesome! I still adore The Fixx. When Cy handed me his Chardonnay to hold we were bonded, much like passengers in time. Or perhaps it's more like The Fool. Great to hear ya singing again. And I see you threw some "Subterranean" in there at the end...
Yes indeedy very few fans can say they've held Cy's Chardonnay. I was almost there, but I may have been on the other side of the bar asking Rupert about that ...mouth thing. I wish I had gotten some pics of that night but I must've left my cameras in Paris.
Yo thanks! I did it around the 1st week of December during my batsnot cray cray recording frenzy where I recorded a dozen covers & 4 new albums, most of which is not suitable for human consumption :p
