I actually kinda like doing this method cuz you're essentially on a timer before the water goes bad so it's a good reward for being able to beat the whole dungeon quickly if you choose to get it before entering for the 1st time
I would say you could leave after getting the warp pot outside the boss room open but it would take so long to get back you may as well just kill the boss normally at that point
@@marcosgalvis3498 it's possible. There is a backdoor ledge outside the Forest Haven you can just barely make it to. It was a pain to go all the way up again to the dungeon, but I really wanted to try the water method so I left, came back, and used the warp jar.
This took 16 years for it to come to the world's attention. This was only discovered a couple of years ago, and Wind Waker is as old as 2003, which I still can't believe.
I'm surprised it was only discovered when a streamer just decided to try it as a shitpost, I would have assumed dataminers would have discovered it earlier.
I remember in a recent playthrough, I tried doing this with the rematch against Kalle Demos in Ganon's Tower. But when I tried to take Forest Water into that fight, the game just took the bottle with the Forest Water away from me during the fight, so I couldn't do it. =( So, I guess you can only really do this with the live version of Kalle Demos in Forbidden Woods.
Even if this stuff was already known I really appreciate you compiling it on this channel. I don’t think I’ve known about a single thing you’ve posted a video on. Maybe I need to stop playing these games the same way every time I revisit them.
It's because the water has been blessed by Hylia it actually goes with the lore which is even more impressive to me! Not just a random "Lol what if this instakilled the boss" - but it has some thought behind it!
I love this easter egg It's like "Are you thirsty little plant?" *"NOOOOOOOO NOT FOREST WATER IT IS POISON TO ME NO I'M CHOKIIIING ABDJDGSKAKGDISBSHJ"* 💀
A streamer just decided to pour water on it as a joke, and then to his (and everyone else's) shock it turned out it's a secret way to insta-kill the boss.
I’m pretty sure people in the chat told him to do it, not telling him what would happen. I did this back in 2005 on my third playthrough. I thought the boss would be harder because of it.
A streamer named fish_waffle64 did it in 2016, saying some of the chat told them to "water the plant," but based on the comments from that video it was already old knowledge for a lot of people. I'm guessing it was independently discovered a bunch of times but only rediscovered on video after the WiiU HD release created renewed interest.
I am 26 years old, and I’m only just learning this now. Thank you for making me feel as dumb as I am, but you’ve taught me a valuable lesson - water is good
It really does make sense if you read the lore! As silly as it sounds I love that this was only found by speedrunners, but was put in the game by the devs very intentionally as a story element too.
You have to scoop it up at the foot of Deku tree before entering the dungeon. If you're not fast enough you can use the warp jar outside the boss room. It's tedious to go all the way back for it.
BotW is great for giving us so many ways to solve a problem and defeat enemies. Though it's undeniable, if you don't have the one intended and obvious way, there cannot be a super secret one either. Both concepts are good from different perspectives.
