It was fair Di. But I’m only looking at Di at moment. As I’m using logic X pro but I am looking at rather than mic my tube amp and pedals. As Logic is new and my MacBook has thunder Bolt USBs. The scarlet 2i2 now has the new way faster no latency thunderbolt version with upgraded pots and outputs. So question would the new focusrite with direct plugging in my Guitar is the amps and cabs in logic to give me a nice blues but tube sound with sim pedals as the vid I seen a guy used a 7 mic over drumkit plus a like a pedal I guess over one drum to show the new speed transfer. It had no latency with all 7 and a patch running. Or for late night as I’m Veterans pensioner and sleep crap the Hughes keffner head 5w Tube that has a Red box DI in built so can run no cab but fantastic clean tube amp with a gain and 3 eQ. What would you say be best as have a few Nice guitars from stage days so pick ups from Gibson les Paul to few different USA fenders and a Ibanez pro line. So Guitar tone yes but not using my pedal board and real tube amp. Can Logic Pro give me the head and cab with say a delay and od and compressor for blues and classic old school rock. Or get the tube amp head use Di with my pedals through front end but add a logic cab. Bit of a head scratcher but I like your logic vids and have been subscribed for abit so this popped into email so logged in. Hope u can guide me as now just Veterans pension I’m down to one more purchase to get my recording going but not blow neighbour away lol. 👍🇦🇺
Grumpy Digger if your looking to save some coin just mic your head and amp. but dont use any effects like delay or reverb. add those later on a bus using plugins. unless your going for some ambient sounds using your guitar. a DI is mostly a clean track that you can later use for reamping. as for late nights look into some third party amp sims, logics sims are not very good. hope this helps
