This is a video to compare two superb gaming chairs I've tried recently, the Noblechairs Epic Black Edition ( • Noblechairs Epic Black... ) and the Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Series ( • Secretlab TITAN Evo 20... ).
These are both great gaming chairs with different appeals. There are small differences between them which are worth knowing though, so I'm talking about them here and telling you which is my favourite and why too.
Please note links listed here include affiliate links which may earn me a commission. Find out more below.*
The Secretlab TITAN Evo 2022 Series, an upgrade to the Secretlab Titan 2020 which I reviewed previously ( • Secretlab Titan 2020 S... ) that includes some minor changes and one MAJORLY AWESOME ONE.
Yes, this chair might have a magnetic, super plush memory foam cushion, 4D arm rests, awesome premium quality and more, but the real winner is the adjustable lumbar support. You can not only adjust this up and down, but also in terms of depth. It's insane.
This model is the regular size in hybrid leatherette with Stealth colourway. There are a lot of other options. Check them out here - secretlab.co.u...
Specs include:
Foam type: Secretlab Cold Cure Foam
Frame Construction: Steel frame
Secretlab NEO Hybrid Leatherette finish
Machined embroidery
Magnetic pillow with memory foam and cooling gel
Class 4 wheel base with aluminium alloy
Built in 4-way adaptive lumbar support
Metal mechanism 4D arm rests with PU coasted cloud swap replacement arm pads
Tilt lock and tilt angle lock mechanism
High grade 85-165 degree recline
5 year warranty

XL - 181-205cm users less than 180kg
Noblechairs Epic Black Edition gaming chair, an expensive, but premium chair with some nice features, a comfortable design, plenty of style and more besides.
Highlights of the Noblechairs Epic Black Edition:
- Comfortable cushioning and support for your behind and back
- oozes style and class
- Well constructed with durable materials, superb stitching and nice Noblechairs accents
- Comfortable arm rests
- Plenty of adjustment options in terms of height, tilt and more
- heavy duty casters roll around nicely
Lowlights:
- Lacks built-in lumbar support
- Included pillows are absolutely underwhelming
- Metal look eyelets are deceiving

@@i_Vex169 I have my epic one now about 8 years and its holding up fantastic. One of the best investments I made. The thing with them is they force you to sit correctly in the seat and have good posture. Something I never did with office chairs. When I moved to wfh a few years back I started spending about 10 hours a day in the epic. And 4 years later I don't have any back issues,.. I used to get a trapped nerve which would kill me for a few weeks at least once a year but not since I moved to WFH.. i credit the posture of the epic with this.

Thanks for the review TPP. Just pushed the button on the SecretLab Titan 2022. I was leaning toward the Noblechairs Hero when compared to the older SLT 2020 but the new 2022 versions seems to check all the boxes. Would have liked to get the real leather, but it seems that it's all stuck floating on the ocean outside of Long Beach. Ugh. Cheers!

I have the hero black edition and my fiance has the secret labs evo 2022 in small. Other than the lumbar support being better in the evo and the replaceable arm rests I really cant justify a purchase of the evo for myself. The way to go until you need customer support. I'm doing my research for a new chair, and so far AndaSeat and Secretlab have about a 50% positive rating on trustpilot. Their customer service dips on you as soon as you buy the seat. Noblechairs is rocking a 90%. That's why I'm leaning heavily in their favor. I'm not dropping this much on a chair just to have them back out of the warranty.

I got an Epic in 2017 and the pleather is still holding up really well. Some of the stitching around the front of the base is showing some signs of wear, but nothing worrying. It gets used multiple hours 7 days a week, so it's not like I've been gentle with it. The seat padding has got stiffer - not that it was all that padded anyway- but the only thing that's failed is the armrest pads which probably only lasted 18 months before they started cracking. Noble replaced them and the new ones are starting to do the same thing now.
@xpartacus
@xpartacus 2 года назад
@@Gainn Sounds promising, I couldn't find much information on its wear and tear condition. Shame about the arm rests though, I've read on Reddit where someone had the same problem, Noblechairs should upgrade the materials of the armrests. Interesting that the seats get stiffer, I thought cold cure foam might soften after breaking in. Thanks for the very helpful response!
@Gainn
@Gainn 2 года назад
@@xpartacus I'm probably just going to reupholster the armrests with some decent fabric and proper padding. I really don't understand why chair companies go to extreme lengths to design new comfort features and materials and then just stick some barely padded cheap plastic armrests on. I've gone over the whole chair since posting that and there is genuinely no wear on it anywhere else. Pretty amazing considering how long my previous chairs lasted.

I hate how these types of "luxury looking racing car seat" style chairs still have this bucket seat style of a racing car, especially in the back rest where the rest pretty much curls in. Which pretty much lets your shoulders curl forward.... I don't get it. Also funny.. it seems like no one ever use or likes these extra cushions for the back.. I wonder why.. Too much? Just stupid design on too many aspects for these wannabe luxury looking racing car chairs only to appeal to gamers to fall for this crap. Even if they can be "comfortable" or not cause back pain/problems for long pc sessions they are still not really doing any good for your overall posture. I mean I had for like 5years straight a cheap staples "chef chair" with leather that only was like 120bucks discounted from 180 or so and I never had any back pain or problems either.. And I can tell you sometimes I was sitting and playing games all night for more than 15h.. but the thing is I also not had the most perfect posture. That's the same stuff you get from these luxury racing car chairs form noble chair or secretlab.. just for 500+ instead.. you fell for it like a dummy

A chair is like a pair of glasses. There's a million variations, and each person's needs are different. The only thing I never liked about gaming chairs were the hard wings restricting leg positioning, but newer quality chairs have either scrapped the wings completely or lowered them and made them part of the cushion so they're no longer obstructing your legs. The shoulder wings also won't curl or squeeze your shoulders as long as the chair is properly sized to your body. From your comment it sounds like you sat in a grand total of one 70 $, child-sized "gaming chair" and decided to make it your life's mission to flame this style of chair and anyone who likes it.
