The one time I came out to my best friend about being in love with him, he turned me down pretty hard. Now I'm married and incredibly happy and he confesses his love and regret to me when he's drunk. Sucks to suck.
My cousin had something similar happen. Her best friend got her pregnant the "old fashioned way" as they say, after she asked him to be her donor. They were together for a while but found out they aren't meant to be in a relationship. They still have an absolutely perfect child and are co-parenting really well.
This story reminds me of my husband and myself in a way. We had dated and broke up after a couple months, but still remained in each other's lives and over time, our feelings grew stronger for each other but we were both too chicken to say anything. Five years later, he admitted to me that he was in love with me, I said I felt the same, and five months later we were married. There was a lot of stuff that happened in between those five years that happened that could have resulted in something much different, but it goes to show what will be will find a way.
It took my partner and I seven years to confess our feelings! We were the best of friends, and we were both scared to ruin the friendship. We each thought that the other was a million miles out of our league. We've now been together for a year and a half, and have never been happier! Such a dream come true. 🥰❤️
@@corik1065 I don’t think she was offended or jealous lol but let’s be honest it doesn’t thrill anyone to hear their love talk about someone they were infatuated with and never had a chance to try it out.. Her body language, yawning, reaching for her drink instinctively, then stopping then grabbing it and drinking and looking at the computer and barely commenting lol it is the disengagement/distancing that I honestly thought was relatable and cute but telling! ❤️🤷🏻♀️
Had a friend confess to me telling me he'd been in love with me for a couple years. But he wasn't. He was in love with the friend he saw a few hours at school. We did date for about a month, he discovered the difference between friend ally and relationship ally and decided this wasn't the relationship he wanted. That was fine 😂 but he asked to stay friends after the break up and im not about that so he went off and lived his life and I've been with my bf for the past 6yrs happily 😊🤷🏽♀️
I remember the first time I met my boyfriend I felt a connection right away. I never felt that way before with anyone. We became good friends. I thought that it was just a silly crush that would go away if he got an ugly haircut or something. Soon it became summer and I didn't think about it. When school came around I had some classes with him and all those feelings came back. Then I was like sh!t I'm actually in love. I was about to ask him out but he ended up getting a girlfriend I was devastated but I didn't want to be the jealous type so I let it go and made myself forget about those feelings I had for him. About two months later he and his girlfriend broke up and as soon as I heard that my feelings came back harder than ever like I got hit by a truck hard. I wanted to wait a little bit because I knew he was hurting from the break up so I was supportive of him and waited until he was ready to move on. In the meantime I told my best friend that I had feelings for him (he was her childhood friend). I told her not to tell him but she told him anyways. My best friend and I came up with a plan to have me tell him my feelings. I did it after the winter assembly and soon after he told me he had feelings for me too and now we've been dating for over 3 years now. He is the sweetest guy ever. Hearing the story about the guy and his bff kind of reminded me of my boyfriend and I with our relationship. Sorry this is long
This reminds me of the movie Love, Rosie. A movie where a guy/girl are childhood besties, he's been into her for years, but she's not. After she realizes she's into him, he's decided to move on. Then when he wants to have a chance with her again, SHE'S moved on and it's not the right time. It's a constant back and forth with both of them being in love but at the wrong time. I didn't bother watching it because that sort of thing in movies drives me INSANE. The book was even worse because, spoiler... They didn't get together until they were middle-aged and it was FINALLY the right time for them. After literal decades of it being the wrong time for them. I think the movie ended with them finally together in their 30s and at the right time for them. But, at least this story has ended a lot better. They both know, are on the same page, know it's on the table for them and can grow side by side with no secrets.
They got married the very same year. She had health issue and needed his insurance. They went to Vegas and eloped there. They knew they were going to get married anyway, so they did it sooner than later.
This sounds a lot like me and my husband. Best friends who were in love, admitted we were in love, moved in together quickly, eloped for health insurance lol (and very happily married and in love)
Is it kind of effed up that she asked someone she's in love with to be a speel donor without him knowing about it? That's baby drama waiting to happen if he had said yes, started dating someone else while they're coparenting. Not okay imo
Well for a sperm donor, she would be raising the child herself, he’s just a donor, not a father. I do see it as a lil yikes but there’s official forms that get filled out before he’d even be allowed to be a donor and those forms ensure he signs away all rights to the baby
