Thanks for the comment. Both Dreams and Secrets are excellent properties and they are both managed by the same company, so they are similar in many ways. The major difference is that Dreams is a family friendly resort, so if you want an adults only experience, I would definitely lean toward Secrets.

Thanks! Most Secrets resorts do offer snorkeling equipment for guests to use. I do remember some guests snorkeling, but the water was mirky when we were there, that’s not the norm for that location. If the water is mirky you can take a snorkeling excursion to a nearby area. You can purchase those at the resort through tour providers or online through a third party before you go. Safe travels!

Thanks so much! The resort is actually only about a fifteen minute drive from the Punta Cana airport. To be honest, there were a few activities to choose from during the day around the pool and beach. And then a show or pop up casino type event in the evening each night. There is a dance club but we didn’t visit it so I can’t speak to that. All in all this was one of our favorite resorts and we would highly recommend it.

Glad you liked the video. Hope it helped you! We stayed preferred. We loved it! Not only do you get to check in at a separate area but you also get a butler, access to a special lounge/bar and beach area, plus access to certain restaurants for breakfast and lunch that non-preferred guests don’t get. Wait time for non-preferred check in really just depends on the time of day you arrive. If it happens to be at the same time as several other guests then you might have to wait a bit. But the nice thing is, it’s a cozy beautiful lobby to wait in and they will bring you whatever you want from the bar to keep you hydrated while you wait. :) We did not get the VIP service at the airport. The airport customs and immigration really didn’t take all that long. And then we had a private transfer to the resort.

During our stay we didn’t have an issue at all with it. We seen a few people smoking in the smoking areas, but that was it. We spent a lot of time around the pool and the beach, but never had an issue with smoking. I’m sure it depends a lot on the clientele and who’s staying there during that time, but our experience was good.

The prices can vary drastically depending on the time of year you travel, the number of people traveling with you, and the availability. I would recommend contacting your favorite travel agent and they can help you find the best options and prices that fit your needs.

I haven’t got to experience Royal beach yet. We were trying to decide between the two also and went with Cap Cana. They both get great reviews, but what persuaded us was Royal beach has a public beach and Cap Cana has a private beach. If that doesn’t matter to you, I don’t think you would be disappointed with either resort.

@@take2-travel I think we will be doing Cap Cana also. I read there is a family resort next door that can become annoying at times. The private beach and gated community was the selling point for us. Thank you for your response and great video

Yes I believe it would be. It’s all concrete sidewalks, flat ground, and not a huge sprawling resort like some others might be. If you want to help insure the resort meets your specific needs, I recommend working with a travel advisor (travel agent) so they can address any specific concerns and contact the resort on your behalf.

This is a fairly quiet resort overall. The non-preferred pool has a few events throughout the day, like dance lessons, kayak race, water volleyball, etc. The theater has an evening show that changes nightly. There is also a nightclub called “Desire” that is open later in the evening. If your looking for a more upbeat party resort I would recommend looking at the Breathless Resort. They do a lot more poolside events and have a more upbeat atmosphere.

Thank you for that information, I already have reservations at Ibero star grand hotel but it looks boring .. lol but I do want nice and luxury and I saw reviews on Breathless and it didn’t look to luxury.

@@cristinatrevino9168 We don't have any experience with the Iberostar brand and haven't sent any clients there. Our experiences with Breathless Resorts have been good and they have a good mix of luxury and an upbeat atmosphere. We stayed at the Dominican Breathless several years ago and enjoyed our visit, but haven't been back recently. We stayed at the Breathless in Mexico last year and they had the same quality of food and events as the others we have been to.

In our opinion, this was a very romantic, quiet, couples-driven resort. There were a lot of couples on their honeymoon or celebrating anniversaries. I did notice a few singles, but they came with a group. If you are looking to travel alone, you might look into the Breathless Resort. It is a more upbeat atmosphere and typically has more single people.
