I havent read his work because I cant find any phisical copies in my area and I dont like reading PDFs, but based on the first couple of minutes of this video it sounds like he was a conman. The video it self was informative.

saying Jung "drew heavily" from him in writing Psychology and Alchemy is a bit stretching it... he lent him some manuscripts of symbols. if anything you could say he put a "dashing" of manly p in that work.

Hall was a good public speaker, and good at speaking to an abstract point that the crowd wanted to hear, but a lot of his books contain nonsense and wordy fluff to fill the pages. He never gives sources nor does he ever state any proven facts. Most is pure fiction. I think one of the reasons he was so embraced by those in power was because of his willingness to misdirect the truth of what humans actually are and can do, for his own personal gain and profit. I own a few of his original works, all of which are over valued and hard-to-purchase without a lot of money. Most were not worth the investment, but a fun novelty for a book collector. I think he was more of a con man; the fact his first wife killed herself, and his later life was spent in bad health and around other con men, shows he was creating that type of energy to begin with and it was returning to him. The fact he had rich "women" willing to fund him is nothing new. The world was and still is filled with wealthy females, who don't have to work, are bored, lonely, and seeking purpose since their husbands are preoccupied or absent; they make for individuals who are easy to take advantage of because of how impressionable they are.
