My wife has taught in Valencia for three summers and it was fun to see the Florida State University Study Center where she often teaches behind you as you climbed the steps of the Torres de Serranos. Interesting side note; there is a preserved section of the old Roman walls that runs through one of the classrooms! I’ve been enjoying your videos and keep watching for new places in Valencia for when my wife returns this summer. ¡Gracías por los videos!
Hi Vicki and Josh. We just found your channel! So we subscribed. We are also a couple of expats from the United States living in Spain. We're living in Fuengirola near Málaga. Let us know if you're ever down this way, we would love to meet up! We look forward to watching your videos! All the best. Peggy and Mark
Bloody hell for 13 euros! Including the wine? It’s difficult to believe how they make any profit out of it. Been in Miami for holidays recently and a subpar menu in Popeyes costed me nearly the same… of course the quality doesn’t even compare.
Haha this time it didn't include wine but still was a great value as you could see. We lived in some expensive cities in U.S so totally understand what you mean. Come to Valencia! Thank you for watching!
Another great video. I can't wait to visit Valencia on our next trip to Spain. It's hard to believe you can get a 3 course meal for 13 euros, nice! BTW perfect weather for outdoor dining.
Yum! Can't wait to try out the food at Tagomago and other wonderful establishments in Valencia ! Thank you for sharing your expereinces; it's very helpful to prepare myself to have more realistic expectations about moving to Valencia. Do you know if Las Fallas will be happening at the traditional time this year and if so, what will you guys do to handle the noise?
We're so glad to hear that you found our video helpful! Tagomago is wonderful so you definitely should try! As of now, Las Fallas will happen during the traditional time which is March. We don't know what we will do yet. Our little dog Hodu is terrified of noise so we''re trying to find a way to avoid it. We will share with you guys once we decide.😊 Thank you for watching!
@@ACoupleofNomads Thank you. I look forward to your solutions for Las Fallas- it's the only thing that's got me a bit worried about living in Valencia and I wonder if there are areas outside of the center, but with easy acces to it(with public transportation) that might be less noisy (even during las Falla)...
@@ambivalenteful There are many villages along the Metro Valencia railway lines network which span across the metropolitan área. Torrente is far from being a glamorous village but you can get into Valencia in 15 - 20 minutes, and it is cheaper (but not as nice as Valencia City) as it is a working class neighbouring village-town.
@@caballoloco100 Hi. I've looked at Torrent as an option as well- I'm wondering if they don't celebrate with fireworks etc during Las Fallas in Torrent and other small towns or villages outside of but close to Valencia city?
thanks for the video guys really enjoyed it. we live in crete greece and were thinking about spain for our next holiday. probably in the summer time as it gets really hot here so we were thinking maybe northern spain
Great vlogs! have seen almost all of them. Haven't been in Valencia since 2019. Great place to visit and see dinosaurs is: Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Valencia
Thank you! Yes we love Valencia, it's a great city to live. We actually have a video introducing Jardins del Real (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XCXvqkAasd0.html), and yes! it's a lovely place for sure. Thank you for your support! ☺️
Wow!That's awesome! I'm sure it will be a great time visiting your home! (We can relate to that feeling 😊) Tagomago is a nice place to eat lunch for sure. Safe travels and thank you for watching!
@@ACoupleofNomads Thank you 🙏 ! But I came back last August 😅 I now live in Cullera, half an hour from Valencia .. near the beach 🏖I love Valencia though.. hope to see you one day in the streets 😉
That menu of the day was the bomb. I just wished you did that video before our trip last year. Guess we have to get off our butts from Florida and get back soon.
Nice video. Walked by the tower a few times, but either it was the wrong one or I didn’t pay enough attention. My 1st visitors are coming in March and we’ll be in Valencia March 18-21, so will catch the end of The Fallas.
Thank you for suggesting Tagomago. Definitely will be eating there. We visit Valencia once or twice a year for Fallas and my birthday in September. Nice to reminisce viewing your videos. Visca Valencia!
Thank you very much for the recommendation of Menu del Dia at Tago Mago! After watching your video last night we went there today and it was awesome. The service and food were spot on and we even managed to get the one table bathed in sunshine. My wife and I both had the ribs and opted for blueberry cheesecake to finish. With 3 Cerveza Turia, lunch and 2 descafeinado it came to €37.30. Amazing.
Hey Alex! Glad you liked Tago Mago! It’s hard to beat the quality for the price, especially in that beautiful little plaza. Glad you got to enjoy the sun too, that’s super rare in winter! We weren’t so lucky, but “warm cures everything” lol. If you’re in Valencia for a while and see us, be sure to say hi! Cheers!🍻🍻
Great video. Waiting for the EL PALMAR - L'ALBUFERA one, - 30 rice restaurants on a small island - and another about Gardens, Monforte, Ayora, Viveros etc.
