Justin Rabackoff drops some knowledge with a full breakdown of Snap Shooting during a clinic in Texas. Learn how to snap shoot from one of the best! Learn more on this and many more techniques at www.thepaintballuniversity.com
This is the Russian Legion developed method for snap shooting; it was highlighted by Maximus Lundqvist a while ago in "One with the Gun" video produced by Splat Magazine. There used to a lot of debate about which technique was better for snapping, but at the end of the day we all stick to what feels natural and what's worked so far. After learning this technique years ago I found myself actually using both styles for snapping depending on the situation. Honestly though, the trick to snap shooting is lining up your shot before coming out, then popping out as fast and small as possible. How you move really comes down to you and personal body mechanics. Great vid! JRab is a monster on the field.
Not to mention the bunker, location, and situation can have a dramatic impact on the most efficient and consistent movement. Other than keeping your feet down (or two points of contact), it's tough to have absolutes when it comes to snap shooting.
Squaring your feet properly is HUGE. I'm a back player, and for me, accurate lanes and shots are everything. Sometimes it can mean either shooting the other player or my own by mistake. Gotta square up!
The foot placements remind me of martial arts, especially w/Judo throws. The placement of your feet help determine where they'll be thrown and if you're able to load them onto your hips for a takedown. Just a slight turn completely changes the angle and how well one is able to lift.
Another key point on "snapping" , is that you roll on the trigger before you clear the bunker, that way the first shots to clear the edge are well on their way. Instead of waiting to clear the bunker.. 1 second lost is your first balls 300ft of late arrival to the target.
That's the best way to snap shoot at most distances when you have time to see the balls coming at you and u can dodge them, but when ur up close (say mirrored bunkers at 40 yard line) this method is a little too slow and the OG snapping version is much faster
It's just for hiding his hopper so there is less for other people to hit. Might be less comfortable, but it's actually better for snap shooting than what the instructor was doing.
After 3 years from this video, i would like to see how he do it now. His style and some technic are definetly changed through these years. The way he keep the tank on the shoulder for example: from really tucked in between the shoulder and pec, to way outside. Make it happen pbnation!
I've been doing this and other excercises for paintball at my gym and they look at me like im crazy 🤣 They also have nice idoor turf for cross fit and I practice my diving and hip slidiny and im sure they internally judge but they dont understand the dream 🤷🏾♂️
@@PEBBLETHEREBEL1985 Indeed, this technique was originally developed by Russian Legion and was picked up by Nexus, Joy Division and Ton Tons. In fact the original Russian technique was to stand side on to the target. It meant you could roll a lot faster but the problem was it hindered mobility, hence why it developed into the 'square on' approach shown here.
J-Rab is my idol in paintball. Sorry to everyone else. The only reason is because he is my age. Great inspiration to me. Good luck to next season Impact!!! ^_^
Samuel dangerous power e1, spire or something electric , and a ninja tank. But this is only my opinion for a introduction to a good paintball setup for speedball
if yo utryign to save money then an ego 11 or etek 5 with a z2 prohecy hopper and gorilla air tnak with serve you fine then get a valken pod back for 30 bucks and you can now play speed ball never skimp on the mask
anyone wanna give me a playlist of guide to speed ball for complete noobs? im a dumbass and accepted an invite to play with a bunch of ex pros and am being given a complete setup including a dye marker that was a tampa bay damage pro players sponsor gun from a past season. im gonna get soo wrecked. i had no idea that this was soo technical lol
***** Are you 100% sure that it is your reg that is leaking? Have you checked the o-rings inside and above the threads? Cockers can be a pain at first, but you will eventually get used to them. The reg could be set to high or you have one or more damaged o-rings. Did you lube the o-rings?
Not trying to be a dick, all good points, but im pretty sure where your feet are pointing is not where the ball is going, its where the barrel is pointed at and with swinging momentum." but either way awesome ass video!
@@davidgembe3446Not really Joy, it was initially the Russians then the style spread. J-Rab played for the Russians and this guide is directly taken from what they taught.
