"a true art enthusiast"2:29 shows some leftover construction material as art :)) also I've noticed the fake j.pollock on the wall..so cringy 3:09 just tops it lol
Yeah right but potential buyers don't care, they see this type of house as a trophy and they'll certainly not live there for more than a few weeks at a time.
What few people know, and to torpedo your point, the Buffets also owned a house in Laguna Beach. Same story, tho. Bought some 40 years ago for $150k, it sold last year (2018) for about 7.5 mil.
You know what the difference is? No way anyone is breaking into your house. You don't have windows they can break through, backyards and backdoors either. No pests from the wild getting in. Pure bliss.
slaiyfershin and you have to jump out of the window when something like 9/11 happens. and you cant listen to music properly without pissing off people above or below you. yeah, stay in your prison poor guy
@@saleh.hashmi I don't have access to a tub most of the year so when I do, I use it. However if I go a couple of months with access to one, I rarely use it.
Dated stuff. They sit on the market forever! That tub view of the Central Park is sadly flanked by numerous “columns of neighboring high rises”🤓 The epitome of obstructed views!
The first house they’ve shown in holmby hills (the one with the vegan) Beyoncé and jay z used to live in it. The house were he talks about how he could see Leo DiCaprio buy it, Leo actually lives in the house NEXT DOOR. In oriole way, Hollywood hills.
:) Ive seen an infinity with an overflow before. Im talking about the craftsmanship and attention to detail. This is supposed to be a multimillion, top notch realestate. But they didnt even bother much with a waterweight or adjusting the water lvls and tolerances for anything from wind to fountains. This isnt supposed to overflow on its own. People who buy this expect the best. Watching those ugly stains all day might not seem something to you but for a perfectionist and someone who expects what he payed for its disgusting. And even all that aside. I wouldnt expect such poor craftmanship on a regular guys pool. Its just lazyness. Its so easily avoided and looks so much better if the ground is uniform without little puddles. here and there.
The standard commission in real estate is 6%, split between the listing agent and the agent representing the buyer. If Umansky is the only agent in this deal, his commission should be about 3 mil. So $2 million is actually a somewhat reduced fee.
lol real estate agents don't deserve this much credit... they are selling up scale housing... that's y they make more commission not a big deal... they r not doing anything more than an avg. agent...
Property taxes on a $500 000 house are about $12000 a year. That's entry level in SoCal. If taxes worry you, you will never own a house, never mind how many bedrooms or bathrooms.
bl_vr you need to read your bible, being informed is important. The bible talks about "wolves in sheeps clothing." Aka people who are not real Christ followers but have other evil motives.
Those who laugh at the idea that an apartment costs as much as a house, hence you'd take the house... It all depends who is it for. A giant house with pools and gardens cost a fortune to upkeep, and get damaged by mother nature forces. Typical maintenance is 1-1.5% a year in cost, which for a 50 million dollar home would be 500-750k. Unless the home is in a prestige location, wear and tear will eat up much of the house value, making it a poor investment. On the other hand, a top notch located apartment in HK will NEVER drop in value and potentially double or triple in value. For someone who owns multiple properties, you'd want a good investment that has little maintenance.
saqib muneer True. It’s a complete joke. A place for suckers. I’ve traveled the entire country for work weekly for 10 years. NYC was far and away my least favorite place to go.
I'm itching to buy that $135 million house in Beverly Hills for $5 million after the real estate bubble crashes and yes, that'll be an all cash purchase
If you're able to buy it for $5 million, that's about $100 000 a year in property taxes, never mind utilities and general upkeep ( your water bill alone will be about $10k, never mind keeping the lights on.Welcome to home ownership.
@@jdrancho1864 actually, if I hold the property in a 501c3, I can completely nix 100k+ property tax bill and the utilities and general upkeep will come out of the organization's funds and not my personal income, which means less personal income tax for moi
@@VivaMessico There's alot we can complain about how this state is run, but the numbers I listed apply pretty much universally across the nation. Utility costs may very somewhat, but property taxes are even higher in East Coast states. Heck, even the Midwest (Ohio i.e.) will hit you hard, and that without crediting you for suffering thru three months of ice and snow.
@@kesharhinestone8998 Interesting, but I can't make sense out of your statement. Alot of high-end properties usually ARE owned thru some form of legal entity (trust, LLC, etc.) Any money used for maintaining the property has to be generated in some kind of way. Bills have to be paid regardless who pays them..What experience do you base your advice on?
Yeah - all foreign buyers driving up prices so no one can afford to live there anymore - that's just great. Just great - Do they not see how utterly disgusting this is? Greed at its finest.
Let me live worry free and work free for 1 year!! ~ Wouldn't that be cool? ~~ lol ~~~ I bet these fellows/gals don't have calluses on their hands, wore out joints & a belly full of sandwich spread for supper!! (Couldn't afford the ham salad) ~~~~ Mercy me, the rich, the elite & the uber wealthy!!! WTF!!! MMS!! ~~~~~ Most I ever made in one year was about 65K and that was working 80+ hours a week for 4-6 months!!! ~~~~~~ OKAY, I feel better, I ranted.
