I had two sugar gliders as pets when I was like 10 years old. Let me tell you idk how I convinced my parents to get them. They are VERRYYYY high maintenance. They are very cute but if you are looking into having them as pets I personally do not recommend. Unless you educate yourself a whole lot before!

My buddy had a Sugar Glider when we were 18. They are so sweet and social. and their gliding is the best. The little thing would just glide over and land on us when he was active. such good times :)

@@danielleamos768 make sure you do tons of research!! Get a pair! They are colony animals. They can die of depression. A safe wheel and cage! Go on Facebook and join groups! A LOT of people on RU-vid channels have good information, but groups can offer mentoring. Diet is important, if they don't get the right amount of calcium they can die. (I used to have 14, so I have experience. The baby in my pfp was one of them.)

I have a sugar glider :) She got hurt and couldn’t walk or jump for a while But she healed and has a hamster for a friend The place where we got her didn’t have another sugar glider But the hamster is getting used to her and has even started climbing the cage UNTILL he reaches the top He wants to be like her, they love to play, and steal each others food

My family and I just got 3 sugar gliders last month. The boys name's are Koy, Mosaic and Omar. I love them, one thing that I have to say is that they are high maintenance ,we have a bedroom that we turned into a glider room. I would say that they are on the same level of care as a cockatiel, not good for beginners. The boys are a lot of fun and taking care of them and spending time with the boys has become a great bonding experience for my daughter and I. Omar is the friendliest he likes to come out and sit on my shoulder.

I have 5 sugar gliders. Take care like babies. They are habit not all the same not eat all the same. They like to be around with owner they can bark when they need attention or want to play. Need to keep clean and gentle with them. When they trust you enough you will see how sweet they are. That's I call them my babies. 💓

Yea, I have 3 gliders and they are definitely NOT what the pet industry sells them as. They are one of the animals that no matter how much they are handled and bred they are still wild

I saw sugar gliders when I was a kid at stock shows and always wanted one. I'm an adult now and own three of them ! I got them from a breeder that has experience breeding exotic pets and I did a lot of research before buying, definitely worrying that salesmen will sell them at stock shows to families that have never heard of them or are aware of their unique care.

I owned two female sugar gliders, they are absolutely adorable, but they need a lot of attention and you have to feed them fresh fruits and meal worms or they get fat. I had two little ones only two years old, they live in a 6 foot cage where they can climb. Their bed was a little hammock and a security blanket in it. They like to ball up. When you hold them they like to be held tight, it makes them feel safe. The ones I had were named Riley and Sasha. Riley was sweet and tame, but Sasha was very aggressive. She would make a loud noise called "crabbing" and then bite. Her bites felt like a staple gun- I know what that feels like. But I tamed her after a couple months and she became the sweetest little sugar baby. I use to sleep with them in my bed, it was so cute. But I had to sell them to someone who took care of sugar gliders because mine were keeping me up at night barking like puppies I think because they wanted a mate to make babies with. That was their mating call at night. I wouldn't get any sleep so I eventually sold them after a couple years. Loved them but now they are wth two male sugar gliders Thor and Loki.

I went here for my birthday once I did the meerkats and the boa constrictor encounter my brother did the sugar glider Encounter it was great it’s near the big pineapple strongly recommended

Yeah my boyfriend has one glider named Gizmo. Gizmo is a white face blonde glider. He is grey with a dark stripe down his back. He is now three years old and he is very happy. We give him a lot of love and attention. He runs on his wheel often and eats a healthy diet. He is very friendly, loves being petted and loves to cuddle in our bathrobe pockets. ❤️ We got Ginger a few months ago. They are great glider friends.

@@airfryer5789 I had 14 at one point, a few colonies. Gliders have personalities, I had some that would glide across the the room, but some of my others preferred small, short jumps and crawls. I had some that were chunky and some thin. I had a 3 year old female that could get out of 3 cages. I had a boy who was lazy and cuddly, he was her brother. He ran on his wheel all the time, he was just chunky I guess.
