one thing I noticed about the bolt pistol is there are two reload animations for it. One when you are completely out of ammo, and another when reloading with a round still in the chamber! A small detail, but a nice one!

A lot of people are talking about the viability of the weapons and I might be stupid for this but I just use what feels fun.

The boltgun continues to disappoint. Nothing of what you would expect of such a caliber propelled by rockets then explodes.

Damn the bolt seems to fix the issue I had with running bolter on Veteran which was the speed.

That is the showcase I was waiting for.

Btw the weapon special on Borovian and Karsolas pickaxes can stagger bulwarks through their shield giving you an opportunity to hit them. It would've helped in the moment where you where faced with two bulwarks and had to time your hits.

Absolutely loved the pull on billhook in v2 so the pickaxe one seems pretty interesting, its kind of slow though, might end up keeping my shield in the end.

I enjoy the bolt pistol more than the full boltgun. Faster, better for hoards, and can hip fire and stagger a whole hoard. While still being accurate enough to hit those cross map snipers.

I sincerely wish that the full boltgun could eventually be made as fun to use as the pistol. The new weapon perks on it are fantastic, and it generally feels much better to use than the full-size. Love that little thing. Oh, and the new melee weapons also have a unique light attack chain that comes out of a slide attack. Not the most useful, but definitely interesting.

Bolt Pistol and the new mauls are my new favorites, shotguns are cool but they lack the spread and damage over range. Spread more so for the DB and Damage+Range for the others, severly lacking.

You forgot to showcase the pickaxe slide attacks :)

I imagine the boltguns in darktide being long range shotgun rounds, instead of dealing tons of damage comfortably in close to cqc range, you instead deal tons of damage comfortably at long range. The only difference is that the shotgun has more ammo on average, and the boltgun can be used in all ranges.

Idk what people really complaining about I’m honestly enjoying the new weapons sure they’re not the best weapons now but they’re still fun to use, got a loadout for veteran that’s basically a blue scout from TF2 with the mace and double barrel and a commissar build with the bolt pistol and power sword

Super shotgun feels like an older brother of a revolver: even more power, even less ammo in a gun. At least the reload is a bit quicker.

Thanks for displaying all the weapons. There are some better attack combos than that but we'll all have plenty of time to figure them out. The Borovian pickaxe has a great mix of horde clear and single target damage. For example: Horde clear - Heavy, Light, Light - Does a heavy vanguard attack follow up by two fast ones. Clears poxers and other weaker enemies quickly. Stun Kill Combo - After you use the special attack, immediately perform a heavy strike as it combos into the heavy strikedown attack which does the most single target damage. Super useful against elites. Regular single target - Light, Heavy, Light, Light - All single target focused attacks that do a lot of damage; especially the heavy

So far I think the bolter pistol is a bit meh(but I was hoping for the smaller model) with sone better perks and blessing combos I bet it'll be super good though

Im surprise the psyker have the shotgun when he didnt have the other 3 but each weapon is interesting, next time to see your next video proably on the new map

Lmao, tricked me for a hot second having the light pickaxe gameplay before the medium. Not a big deal tho. Heavy looked like it was doing work, light looked awesome being able to combo from a push or special into the overhead heavy attack. Medium wasn’t bad, but I felt like you had a tough time having the space/time solo to line up the hard hitting heavy attack 2 though compared to the other 2 pick axes.

Im no longer follows the development in the Warhammer 40K universe, but wasnt bolter designed from its first inception to be able to take out normal to little giant of orcs with one shot?

I feel like the Bolt Pistol is a little bit undertuned when compared to the revolver. It's fine and all, and certainly usable, but kindof feels underwhelming I guess. Love the sound design and animations for it though.

i feel like a sado-masochist while looking at your video it's always a pleaser to see your gameplay on an amazing game, but at the same time so frustrating cuz i own darktide sincen day 1, I even pre-ordered it , but my PC isn't powerful enought to make it run yet :(

There are two nice blessings for the boltpistol. Bleedstacks and no min range for the explosion.

I notice that the double barrel shotgun has been in the game literally since forever through the weapon customization mod, I thought it was just a cosmetics that released a while ago but no apparently it has always been in the game. So just a one hit button to release a “new” weapon that should’ve launched with the game at launch 😂 I highly doubt Fatshark is even working on this game anymore considering how fckin pathetic it is right now lmfao

Just as well those rounds are jet powered. Because with how short that barrel is, it would have zero accuracy 😂

It feels like a worse revolver but it works fine in a bleed zealot build. Like if you have a knife with scourge

i am very dissapointed that the ogryn pick special attack does not cause bleeding, because as far as i know, other weapons do that

I tried playing this update but the performance was so terrible post patch that i uninstalled. Stutters, freezes and everyone was crashing to the character select screen

I cant get rid of the feelin that every new weapon (maybe except the pickaxe) is underpowered 🤔

might be a hot take but the bolt pistol really disappointed me, its not bad but i have a damn near perfect rolled revolver that is just better,at least for taking out crushers(25%carapace dmg,5% crit chanc,surgical 4,hand cannon 4) takes down a crusher in 2 to 3 shots where as the bolt pistol seems to need the whole clip minimum

Wanting to test these out more but after the hotfix enemy spawns seem really obnoxious and playing with randoms is a drag. Seems really spammy, can't say I've ever seen 5 dogs at the same time (outside of hunting grounds) with an army of gunners, or ever gone around a corner to find a dozen ragers all sat on top of each other. This was only on heresy.

Shotguns were always bad or meh. At least this one is usable. Mostly on Veteran. And looks cool

As an Ogryn favourite i'm disappointed. They gave him 3 identical versions of the same weapon lol. Pickaxe is so slow and bad cleave. I immediately went back to my sweet bully club.

Tried booting it up but I get 2014 error every game now. 600 hours too, and I can't play. Their solution for the error for some reason is to use a VPN, like wtf?
