A how to and review of the 3 Legged Thing Albert tripod. This is an extremely well build quality tripod for photography and videography. It has a very high payload capacity for its weight. It also compacts to a very small footprint for traveling as well.

Thanks for your review. One of the best reviews of the features of this model of tripod from 3 legged things.

The reason they use twist locks is because they are more stable and don’t wear out. Clamp locks weaken over time and will eventually slide.

@@BsianTech I was looking for a light carbon tripod for landscape photography and this one was recommended by Scott Kelby. I might purchase one in the future, but for now I will use what I have. Thank you.

This might be my next tripod. I love having a good long centre column.

Great review... As a dad of a 3 year old and 9 month old, I completely understand you talking quietly if you've got a little one!! Have been looking at one of these for a while as I do 360 virtual tour photography and that extending centre column is very attractive! :)

Hi Nick, welcome to my videos, thanks for understanding not trying to make too much of an excuse my is 2 year old now and only time I get to do recording is very late at night after they have gone to sleep when I get the daddy free time. That's pretty kewl for you to do the 360 Virtual tour, we use the Matterport for that when we do it ourselves but takes a lot of time. I do say this tripod is amazing for the insane amount of weight it can carry but really hate the mechanism that locks and unlocks to extends the legs. The center column is really tall I gotta admit and strong too, I do a lot of times I get lazy on extending the legs and I just get the height only from extending the center column only and yet its still very stable with my Canon 6D and 200mm lens on it and some strong wind(I don't hint doing it for yourself as it can easily be knocked over but I do get lazy sometimes).

@@BsianTech Haha that was the first thing I thought - he must have a little one trying to sleep! I know how that is. :)

Thanks 34 Media, its still one very strong tripod and I still use and trust my expensive gear on it, just not a fan of the twist action to adjust the legs that's all.

Hi, thanks for the reveiw, I have just bought one of these and I'm struggling to take the head of, so I have 2 questions, 1) can I take the airhead of? 2) can you do a full tutorial on how to turn it to monopod, Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback Jez T, sorry being a newbie at RU-vid I am learning lots as each video I create. I have been commented a number of times on my voice projection. Starting to get more comfortable on each new video I am doing now (been mostly behind the camera all my life). I'm working on my voice and volume and keeping it in mind as I do my future videos =) to try improve your experience. Please keep the feedback coming thanks.
