A great video step by step on how to fill out Section II. Loved the cut and paste tip for the description. Thanks so much!

What’s the entry level? And would that get me the red book and my foot in the door?

OUPV License is the entry level. 50ton is the eatery level Masters license.

if I am doing OUPV Near Coastal I would just put "National OUPV Near Coastal" or do I need to add Atlantic Coast? Also, for the Assistance Towing Endorsement, do I need to check another box above the description? Also, what do I put in the description for the Assistance towing? I just don't want the application to get kicked back.

hello, this video was really helpful. one question, what about section IV? specifically the signature of individual authorized to administer the oath? where do i go to get that bit signed?

Hi Justin, You get this signed by notary. However, a notary will look at his section and say that it is not for them to sign due to the layout of the section. Here is a link to the USCG Notary Form that you may get notarized and attach it to your application. uscaptainstraining.com/wp-content/uploads/US_Coast_Guard_Merchant_Mariner_Oath_Form.pdf
