One of the most common questions asked by many getting into the cybersecurity field is - what's the difference between an analyst and an engineer? That question is answered in this video. blvkhakr Twitch: twitch.tv/blvkhakr
I just subscribed! I'm taking googles IT cert right now and when school starts again I'm gonna get my degree in cybersecurity and I think i'm leaniing more towards engineer just based off this video. Still researching but thank you!
Thanks for the video. I’m almost done with my associates in CIS focus in cybersecurity. Should I attempt a bachelors before attempting to join the field? Also, what certs do you recommend for a newb looking to find a job asap?
It all depends on what you want to do and how fast you want to go. I have a degree in computer science and just last year got my first certification. At the end of the day it still takes hands on experience to get into the field. Whether it's a cert or a degree, if you're able to convert what you learn into hands on experience, I say go that route and build on it.
