@PeachRap I worked security part-time before I was disabled. I was never afraid for the audience. If you're a cool security guard, you meet a lot of good people, and it's nice when they come back and recognize you and especially when they come back and you build a positive repor. Ya their are fights or people pass out from heat exhaustion and that's why you will see a good security guard standing over the barricades. The crowds safety is always our highest priority. Now when I Declare War plays we can't help 500 people from moshing to the break diwn of Misery Cloud

Thanks to all security guys at gigs. You guys deal with a lot of shit, and one of you saved my ass years ago at a Faith No More gig where there was a massive crush down the front. Several people got carted off in ambulances from that show, I was getting crushed against the barrier and a security guy grabbed me and yanked me over the barrier, I'm forever grateful for that. It was a pretty scary experience. Top job security guys.
I have seen all kinds of security at concerts. At a lamb of god and parkway drive concert the security people were beating people who were surfing with retractable rods. Ill never forget that
It's kinda funny: despite the themes and dark nature of this sort of music these sort of gigs are some of the safest gigs with the nicest people i've ever been to.
I think also moshes mean that metalheads know when to be dangerous, proper etiquette when being dangerous (noone kinder than a mosh that sees someone fall down), and are comfortable not being dangerous most of the time. Time and place, I guess
As a Security Guard, you'd be surprised how often I get a kick out of death metal. It's some funny shit. Something about the genre just fits this job really, really well.

I think it's more quizzical than terrified. Metal nights are very rarely trouble...more pulling people out of accidental harms way than people looking to actually do harm.
I remember being at a Morbid Angel and Sadistic Intent concert with like 3,000 people in a 2,000 occupancy club and everyone was going crazy... This old head security guard was totally bemused with what he was hearing but he said he was enjoying the energy and was smiling a lot.
The variety of emotions on display in such a short clip is amazing 😂 one guy terrified for his life, next just like "fuckin hell what'd I get myself into?", then we got the guy who's experienced it frozen there having a flashback, and the last guy about to fall out laughing. I love it.

Fav security guard at a gig that I've seen was one during an Earthless show. After 20 min of non stop soloing the security guard was just amazed and stood the rest of the show looking behind at the guitar player. The festival had a super chill crowd and you could see he was ok just relaxing and having his face melted by the band

Happened to me once at work, completely out of nowhere. Was just sitting at my desk, and suddenly it felt like I'd pissed my pants. Got up and went to the bathroom, my boxers were full of blood. Went to the ER, doc said I needed to see a urologist and have a camera snaked up my peehole. I said the hell with that and drank cranberry juice instead. Cleared it up in a couple days.
To be fair I, a metalhead, would have the same look if I had to work security for a rapper where all the lyrics are autotuned and about how he likes to wear Gucci shoes or some shit. 🤣
Agreed, but you have to admit, this band is a joke...a bunch of fat, middle aged men, singing about kidney stones...reminds me of 'Hook' by Blues Traveller. It doesn't matter what he says, as long as he screams loudly over half assed metal guitar and fast drums...
First time I saw cannibal was on the Tomb of the Mutilated tour and they were playing a small venue in Montreal... They had a line of like 20 goons in front of the stage for security and Chris was pissed that they were preventing people from getting on stage to stage dive.. he ended up in a fight with two of them, the crowd was on fire and the line of security just went "fuck this" and left. Excellent show, it was absolute chaos.

I've still never seen Mayhem perform live despite having gone to many of their shows. Security is on edge by the middle of the second band and kick us out for enjoying extreme metal the way it's supposed to be enjoyed.

I got to experience that! I had laser kidney stone surgery, with double J stents put in. (They insert a tube/laser that breaks it up into pieces) Went to my Dr to get them taken out (You literally stand, and they pull out the string that's attached to it). Anyways at some point, it got caught on something internally (Or something had 'snagged' that shouldn't of) and, it started to drip, faster and faster and onto the floor and Dr shoes. I look down and ask if that's normal. He just says....no. lol. So, he just walks out the door, and I'm left standing, and it is dripping everywhere. Forgot what was damaged in the process of removing it but, I went straight back for another surgery to repair it. It's funny now but, at the time it was pretty damn scary! The stents themselves feel really bad just being in your kidneys! I still have some weird scar tissue pain in the opening that stings randomly. Fun times.
If they performed a surgical procedure with laser, you must have some large kidney stones in there. I had surgery too and it was a grade 3 but I'm not sure if they used laser. All I know is that this song has some truth to that.
