Lets be honest, their whole team are on sports scholarships (hence why they cant enter champions trophy or natwest cup), and are brought to the school once they are already a top academy player. They spend their school days learning to tie their shoe laces or studying btec business and btec sport. Not really an even playing field for other schools.
Micheal Birch um pretty sure they entered natwest cup for first time in u15’s 2 years ago and won. So basically you don’t know what you’re talking about
They buy in their best players so typically their first team is all scholarships- fair play to them they stuffed Kgs the most hated team on the circuit
All the south africans complaining about sports scholarships whilst the schools they are promoting have recently been shamed by habitual steroid use by their pupils
Good luck to them, stay on the path free from distractions and they’ll come out of school as good athletes with a great education then the rest is up to them. Got to love Rugby and what it gives people.
They havent play grey college. From south africa, or paarl boys high, paarl gymnasium, paul roos Tour south africa then you will meet the true best schoolboy rugby
31st unbeaten season? Wow seams not really balanced in SA...Imagine the Team Meeting .... Coach: "Ok Boys, next Game is against Grey" Team: "YAAAY FUN" xD
It would have been good to see Sedbergh, Wellington or Millfield in 2019 at the 2019 World Schools Festival. Hartpury are more of a rugby academy college than a school. The SA top teams have had some quite impressive results - surely Sedbergh, Millfield, Dulwich, Wellington etc must be tempted to take on Grey College, Paarl Boys or Gymn or Paul Roos. 2019 World Schools Festival: Grey College vs Southland Boys’ High School NZ, 54-0; Paul Roos vs Napier Boys’ High NZ, 62-7; Grey College vs Christchurch Boys’ High School NZ, 73-26; Paul Roos vs Southland Boys’ High School NZ, 93-50; Paarl Gim vs Hartpury College, 41-12 An interesting one from 2018: Grey College 60 Hartpury 0
Is it okay if you can make a ‘remember the name series’ on my brother playing rugby for Sedbergh and falcons if you have got footage of it because my brother (Theo Manihera) has said it was okay.
Bring them to the World Schools Festival next year. Let’s see how they do against a Grey College or Paul Roos, arguably 2 of the best schools in the world.
@@maxlucken5875 most schools give scholarships away, come to south africa and any school that's good at rugby gives scholarships. Pretty sure S.A. teams still compete
If your school is very good at rugby and you make a video about them playing, you would almost certainly hear about Grey College in the comment section. The reason being is that they produced over 40 Springboks to date and are incredibly hard to beat. Sedbergh good luck when you play Grey in the future and other big SA schools, may the best team win.
Even the New Zealand teams that play against Grey Kollege, Paul Roos etc in the World School Series get klapped 60 - 10 ... this wet private school team would get demolished in South Africa 😂
Joss Hea7er ALL BLACKS are from a smallish country called NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿 with a population wayyyyyyyyy smaller then those countries you mentioned and there number 1 ranked in the world.........NEW ZEALAND lives for rugby 🏉
Nothing to do with importing players. None of the good sides enter natwest because it’s a waste of time for them. And I think you’ll find they won the daily mail cup
V Grey College s 4 th rugby team beat John fisher 83 -0 they had to stop the game on their tour to south africa it with fking hilarious 😂😂how bad they were a 4th team destoyed them😂
But have they played Grey College in Bloemfontein South Africa? Cant claim the title of best in the world if you havnt toured SA schools. Or better yet, let Grey go and play there just to make things slightly more fair. Those lighties are born with a scrumcap and a rugby ball.
Cool video but their tight head prop still got boshed by a 15 year old 5’7 76kg open side from a second rate rugby school in Edinburgh and their open side 6 foot plus winger was snuffed out by a 5’8 73kg blindside winger from the same team
They probably played nobodies. Most top Auckland schools in Division A would beat them. Hamilton Boys, Hasting and Napier would also cream them.@@stintoplayz4794
Hemi Albert the top NZ sides said no to playing them because they knew how strong they were. They are playing the top SA schools this year though. Who are miles better than all NZ schools
J W2 New Zealand top Teams said No😂😂 hahah that’s a joke , like you 😆 , I’m from SOUTH Auckland WATCH! Papakura high , Wesley ,AO ,rewa , Kelston ,James cook,Auckland Granma,Kings College, southern Cross , hightlights!!! Many More etc, BET U! None of them would never say NO ever! Yous play with WHITE WEAK BOYZ!! We play with colour, that’s why all blacks are mostly unbeaten. Try proved me wrong
Ed Miller as a whitgift player, top 5 in country, can tell you we toured SA two years ago and lost 50-0 to one of their top schools (Paarl boys) second team, the standard of schoolboy rugby is way better there
Newspaper 99 Not SA our 2 nd and 3 rd wont even play schools from england cause their to shit Sedburg or whatever looks better and would probably give Grey College’s second team a run for their money😂😂
Fair enough School rugby is a higher level in SH, but in 2018, ENG vs SA senior, out of 4 matches, it was 2-2, so you can brag all you like, but it doesn't mean shit.
@@stintoplayz4794 go watch Grey College vs Christchurch Boys Paul Roos vs Southland Boys 2019... none of our teams lost in the world school festivals this year Glenwood 32 John McGlashan College 17 Monument 32 Hartpury College 21 Paarl Gimnasium 50 Africa Pacific Dragons 24 Affies 36 Italian All-Stars 12 Boland Landbou 30 Napier Boys’ High 25 Hilton College 43 USA Schools XV 0 Grey College 73 Christchurch Boys’ High 26 Paul Roos 93 Southland Boys’ High 5 WP Invitation 33 Zambezi Steelers 30 Glenwood 33 Africa Pacific Dragons 10 Paarl Gimnasium 41 Hartpury College 12 Monument 48 John McGlashan College 10 Boland Landbou 71 USA Schools XV 3 Hilton College 34 Italian All-Stars 15 Grey College 54 Southland Boys’ High 0 Affies 31 Christchurch Boys’ High 31 Paul Roos 62 Napier Boys’ High 7
aha, oh well, considering the current full strength NZ side can barely beat an injury ridden England side, then go and lose to Ireland, who later got destroyed by an almost full strength England side, and Wales, their school rugby is really serving them well.
Ed Miller I agree, people just hype up the private schools. It’s nice to play for a comp school and go beat the likes of Asheville, sed, wood house and York sp all 50-0+
all these people going out about grey college is a joke. Watch grey college play and this in comparison is nothing. Grey college frankly play against shit in comparison
