Joe Parry If your talking about school boy rugby, then NZ aren’t the best. Check out South African School boy rugby. We have the best school boy rugby in the world.
Creepy Freak it’s a fact dude 😂 when it was the world schools festival we destroyed the English 66-0 if I’m not mistaken, we smashed Christ Church. We had no competition 😂
I remember school matches on the wing in the snow. Sticking your hands inside your shorts to keep them warm while waiting for the forwards to sort themselves out....
Huw Jones is a great player if Redpath can become half the player he is then he'll have a good career. FYI not sure if you're doing but if you're inferring Huw Jones isn't Scottish you are very much wrong. Born in Scotland to Scottish parents.
He seems like a decent talent. But definitely not an all rounder yet - shocked he was taken to SA. Learning experience maybe but he is not there yet. Also - bet NZ pump out kids like this no problem! That’s what we have to compete with and aspire to
What about this man's kicking game? Can't rely on this running game, albeit very impressive... from a premiership oppositions 22. Wish him all the best though and looks a great English talent, pains me to say.
Here we have a young talented player and all I read is that all the NZ youngsters are better and the English stole him from Scotland, both statements are incorrect and more to the point somewhat pathetic.
I mean his dad did play for Scotland so you would have thought he would also play for Scotland, just a lost opportunity for Scotland with this lad. Still I hope his career goes well in the future
Neil Carpenter - England don't have better youngsters than NZ. That's why NZ's U20's win the youth world cup most years. Think the comments are a bit disrespectful and over the top. England have some good youngsters but no they are not on the same level as NZ's.
If he was playing in NZ he'd get found out real quick. I'll never forget we had this German player come to my school. Apparently he represented Germany and was really good. Oh my god he was the worst in our team.
Past 2 years would say otherwise but ok, lions series draw, England and Ireland beating Australia in the June series, SA losing to Italy, Japan and everyone else, Ireland Beating the ABs, England winning 5 straight against Australia, and Australia beating the ABs, and SA getting 1 point loss to the ABs, arguably should have won but ok.. I would say it's the closest it's ever been.
I thought he was a 9 like his old man and couldnt work out why he didnt choose England...now I know hes a 12 it makes more sense...I suppose playing and getting stuffed is better than being in the bench...😂
Rory Canham I disagree, if you look at the level of rugby across the board for the Southern Hemisphere you will see that it generally played at a better level, more jazz etc. It’s the same with super rugby and the premiership - a very different feeling watching the southern hemis teams play!
Really? Not what I've seen think hartpury college got put away 60-0 by grey college this year. Select few good schools?? Don't know about new Zealand so much but the list of top class rugby schools in South Africa is ridiculous.
English schoolboy rugby isn’t mediocre it gets very intense at some times and your not just playing for a cup your for a team and the thrill of being able to play for school or club is amazing
Tabular Bubble I’ve played top level rugby at schoolboy level in England and have toured to SA one time. I can tell you that even the top schools in England can be beaten by a Half-decent team in the Southern Hemisphere! But I agree, it’s a great experience and is very competitive.
Might as well forget the name. He’s been poached by the Sweaties. Although we’re apparently selecting Odogwu, and frankly I’d rather have a centre from one of the top teams in the league, than one from the bottom.
