I've had these Sedums for MANY years. The original "Mother" plant was brought over to the USA as a small stem in the pocket of a German man, about 65 years ago. His daughter, now in her 80's gave me one plant years ago. And explained how easy it is to grow, propagate and take care of. Allowing each of those stems to dry up and wither away in Winter. To me is a waste. As soon as the flower turns brown, I cut or snap each stem at ground level. And stick them in groups of 5 in the soil. Whether in the ground or into a pot. No special soil at all. I don't remove leaves or make special cuts. They all quickly root under ground. Does not seem to matter if I have an early frost, snow or whatever. They all come up as new plants the next year. And just as big as the plants I removed them from. Each year I have tons more and give many to neighbors and friends.
You are welcome, thank you. They will come back healthy and beautiful. 😁👍 Let us know if you have any questions. Looking forward to 2024, many more helpful videos to come. 🧰☕️
I really like your video about DIY garden caring. Hipa supplies some parts and consumables for garden machines such as blades, carburetors for lawn mowers and trimmer lines. I'm wondering are you up for a collaboration to share more tips on yard machine maintenance and repair?
