Ok, nice demonstration. But I would like to see if it can heat up evenly if you place the heater in one corner of the room. Nobody ever places that heater in the center of the room because of obstruction... so this experiment is kind of invalid due to the location of where they place it in the room.

Positive Temperature Coeficient Heating Plate => a typical ptc heater. Triying hard to sound cooler that it is. Its a dyson fan + a dyson hairdryer in one.

I really miss the different forward heating modes, where there was a direct airflow in the previous model - together with the more diffused airflow, that is the only one that blows forward in this model (and i dont get why the values of polutants in the room changes so dramatic when going from forward airstream to backwards diffused airpurifier)

So i took the plunge and bought several dyson fans for the office. Horrible idea. To get the same air flow standing more than 1 meter away, the dyson is much louder to reach the same level of performance. Solution? (Redesign the air intake to stop the whistling effect and use a larger diameter “totally not a vertical upside down fan” fan in the base.) Yes it can go down to a whisper but at a huge reduction in airflow so there’s no point. Also watched a few break down videos for cleaning wow what a nightmare

I have a few questions for anyone who has used this device: Will it heat and purify a living area of 1000 to 1200 square feet? Will it heat and purify seperate rooms within that square footage? There are small gaps under each bedroom door…will it purify and heat those rooms when the doors are closed? Is air circulation noticeable? Typical energy consumption with average settings?

Dyson is not an average space heater. Very expensive. Cheapest one new I found at Best Buy. $499.

The problem with the Dyson Hot & Cool is that it has a fundamental flaw which Dyson does not seem to know how to fix. I bought one of these and after about 4 months use it developed a high pitched whining noise (rather irritating). Since it was under a 2 year warranty, I had it returned to Dyson and after some hassle, Dyson sent me a replacement, which I’ve been using now for about 3 months and it too has developed the same high pitched whining noise problem. Clearly this product is unreliable and it has been more trouble than it’s worth. Since there is still time left on the 2 year warranty, I shall return it to Dyson, to decide what they intend to do about it. I have lost all faith in this company and regret having bought it. Disappointing. I hope that Dyson just gives me a refund, rather than send me yet another one which will start to whine after about 3 months..... and then what ? Send it back to them again ?

Except the suction isn't strong enough and the filter sucks. You can't filter cigarette smoke, cigars smoke, or strong chemical smells. These products are just overpriced fans and not very good air purifiers. Watch the testing on these products.

This is absolutely the worst product on the planet. It's ment to be a fan and cool things. My 25 dollar fan blows air better than this. For this cost it should be an air conditioner. Definitely returning this for an air conditioner. Absolutely useless
