I'm recently building an off grid system for my farm caravan. Was slowly building a solar hot water system too, as its cold showers for now in NSW Midcoast. Iv been playing around with "Shelly Cloud" wifi electrical relay controllers which run off 12v and 24v. Highly programmable but have a great mobile phone interface too. Used them for water pumps and it worked great!
That little Moter worked for 9 YRS!!! Thats Fantastic! and i really like the one ur showing but i use a Peco Thermostat with the 5 ft Bulb and the dial lets me change what temp(depending on season) want the 18 Volts little Topsflow all Stainless Steel Pump to Kick on.Look me up at Guilt Free Hot Water, sory nothing to sell just free info. Also i throw on a metal filter which is under $20 as sometimes some how crap gets in. What kind of Heat exchanger? Peco TRF-005 TRF115-005 - Temp Range : 0°F - 120°F, 18°C - 49°C ; Bulb : 5 ft. (1.5 m) Stainless Remote Sensor.
Thanks for the informative video. Could you please make a video on how you heat your hot water with your wood burning stove in winter. Thanks in advance.
amazing idea and it eliminates wires connection for residential buildings of 4 and 5 floors !! just needs some controller sensors to enhance the system.. thanks a lot!
A simple $5 thermostatic switch wired inline with the pump and measuring the temp of the hot side of your system is all you need to stop pumping cold water. Awesome idea to have your pump driven by solar panels. Powers on only when you need it. Mostly.
