As someone who lost 90% of his sight in 05 I totally understand the anxiety. Even I do not understand how people with no light perception do it. I also agreee I would not have wanted to see Hamish in the buff either
This is the video that got me into H&A. Never heard of them but saw this video and have listened to every podcast and watched every show they’ve done that I can find online.
You can see how vulnerable Andy felt having his sight taken away. I really felt for him. I would think having it happen all at once is worse and scarier than having your sight go gradually like some blind and vision impaired people would have happen. I would have liked them to revisit this experiment but this time one or both of the guys should have both their sight and hearing taken away to find out what it's like for the many people out there with dual sensory loss.
The best part is that they did this back then because because the saw the movie see no evil and hear no evil. They actually wanted to try and replicate a crime to solve but this alone being blind and death was hard enough.
brilliant content. i’m a front wiper too ham. i think they should make themselves youtubers, this reminded me of a mr beast-like stunt. 24 hours on a deserted island, 24 hours in a haunted prison etc. but we spent 50 hours blind and deaf. we went to 45 parties in a weekend. they would make so much more and let more people see this greatness
I walked in on my 6'4'' housemate, on the loo, wiping from the front. I did not know what was happening, so later on, I asked him why he was reaching into the bowl whilst sat there. That was when I learned that some wipe in this fashion. I was, and still am, shocked. I asked him some serious questions, like surely the back of his nutbag is covered in excrement, no? Or do you mini-swipe, and then lift away? A helicopter move, rather than a glide from a plane? Or is it always: clean hole, and then bag?
Andy's situation was way worse. Not only could he not see but his speech was effectively taken away too because Hamish can't hear when Andy talks. So he lost sight and became semi-mute too in an odd way.
I remember on the project the hosts kept saying "so obviously you're doing it for charity, right"? and Hamish and Andy would say "lol no, we're just doing it coz its fun". It was like the project can't comprehend that sometimes people do things out of their own enjoyment, there must be some underlying corporate agenda for everything.
omg i was just looking for this the other day but couldn’t find the complete version. i wish it was a longer edit. i feel like there has to be more funny footage of this stupid shit lmao.
