I'm reminded of when, in 2008, at a town hall meeting, Republican presidential candidate John McCain schooled a lady who was saying she couldn't trust Obama, for one reason because she thought he was an Arab. “No. He’s a decent family man, citizen, that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. That’s what this campaign is all about.” That was classy. I wasn't a big fan of McCain, but in that moment I respected the hell out of him.
How many Arabs do you think were killed by John McCain and droning? Do you remember when Biden droned 7 little brown Afghan kids in retaliation to the 13 soldiers getting killed in Afghanistan?
It’s the GOP pandering for votes and power unfortunately. That and unconstitutional gerrymandering that has led us to this point. Most of us just ant normalcy and decency in our government.
There’s daylight between the two men but sadly in the crazy world we live in today, the one who isn’t good enough, smart enough or classy enough may well be back in office come November and even crazier than that, possibly back in office from behind bars.

Basic polite dialogue has suffered. Folks over think every single opinion they hear or they don’t listen at all and do not expand their consciousness. Both actions result in discourse. Manners are not acknowledged but made fun of. Education such as degrees are over blown as the only way to succeed . An open and free education is frowned upon starting young. Kids are over protected and need that as the world has speeded up. And these same words have been recited with every generation. Think we might have figured it out by now.

Part of the problem was his being drowned out by his own “supporters” zealously and dogmatically shouting down the first interrupter. And he addressed that exact thing immediately. I’m always impressed by this man. Intelligent, kind and brave. We need more like him.
And the difference between him and Trump is he actually tried to have a civil conversation about the guys concerns and when his base got a little too excited he addressed them too.
