Hey Great videos. Just picked up a 3DS XL yesterday and did an update at that time. Watching your videos now and want to jailbreak it. Would factory reset get around the update I added yesterday? I appreciate your help!

In this video, you press continue on the update screen multiple times. Can I still do the hack and just reject the update every time?

Bro keep making these videos. I'm trying to find out everything I can do to have fun with the 3ds and and the loop holes to really peak its potential. All the information I find is old and irrelevant

So I have a question I havent found an answer to. Is there any kind of software to be able to use the internet? Or get into Netflix, ect? I recently got a game cartridge that had a sd installment that had over 200+ retro games. So games aren't my issue. I want to see if I cam use it for music and videos off the internet

If you did it with the seedminer method, that's still the method for old 3ds nd 2ds

It's actually not THAT great. 06/2001: Gameboy Advance 03/2003: GBA SP 12/2004: Original DS 03/2005: PSP Phat 03/2006: DS Lite 08/2007: PSP Slim 10/2008: PSP Brite 04/2009: DSi 03/2011: 3DS 04/2011: Xperia Play 02/2012: PS Vita 02/2014: PS Vita Slim 11/2014: new3DS With hindsight being 20/20 the better upgrade path would've been GBA to DS Lite, to PSP Brite, to 3DS, to PS Vita Slim. Basically skip all the other variants. I'm not a fan of the DSi and 3DS, I don't think they should've existed, I think instead Nintendo should've responded with the new3DS back in 2009 against the PSP competition. The new3DS wasn't that bad, it simply was released way too late. The saving grace for these DS/3DS/new3DS lineup has been the exclusive games from the likes of Pokemon, Mario Kart, Super Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong, and Animal Crossing. Whilst PSP had bigger and more variety with GTA, Tekken, Gran Turismo, God of War, MGS, Little Big Planet, Daxter, Ratchet Clank, Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter, WipeOut. Whilst the PS Vita failed; only having the likes of Uncharted, CoD Black Ops, Mortal Kombat, Persona, Little Big Planet, Rayman, Minecraft, and Killzone... and missing out on their traditional games. Many of the games came late, and didn't sell well due to lack of console sales. So I guess it's not enough to have a killer hardware, you also need to have exclusive games on it, basically killer franchises.

It's a great copnsole, but it kind of suck for emulation as far as consoles go. But it a great thing to play DS

Hmm, so does this explain why my New 2DS XL takes forever to start up even though I've only got about 90GB worth of stuff? Because it's got a 256 GB card?

@@TVsBen The higher you go in capacity the longer it takes the system to scan through for content, which is kinda why 128GB is the happy medium between usable and chaos, said chaos being mostly corruption and other issues people have found with going beyond 128GB

@TV's Ben Yes. I don't know the technical details, but I asked around on Discord servers when I was researching on sd sizes, and they told me past 128gb gets really slow.

Cool bro, now that e store has finally closed i think im gonna finally gonna try this on my 3DSXL. Few questions thou seeing as you are a Veteran in the 3DS Mod Community, when modded can I still use my original game carts or maybe I don't need to, and can I still play online or to risky...should I create a new user account or stick with the one currently being used for my Switch account, ( Risk of Ban) ? TIA

@@terry.1428 a new account is prob the way to go, a new 3ds, well if you have the spare cash then why not, but why not just use the one I have already, it well looked after and works like new.

@@MartyMcFryyy As long as you're not using cheats when you're playing online, you should be good. Apparently copies of games downloaded from Hshop are viewed as legit, so you can play them as normal as long as you don't cheat. That's at least what's going on with mine.

2dsxl has crappy hinges. Just get a new 3dsxl.

I have my games in a folder on the home screen. Do folders have the same 300 limit?

@@zero604 folders don’t count towards the limit. The icons in folders still apply to the 300 limit.

Hey man just a few qs if u don’t mind: Is it possible to transfer your game save data from a physical game to the digital backup? Is it safe to use online on modded games? How about on legally owned games but your system has pirated games on it-will Nintendo be able to detect it?

It's got me thinking I should actually buy a Switch in preparation for the future.

That's weird, you should be able to. I don't think Nintendo forces a system transfer to log in with your ID.

Reach out to nintendo, they'll reset that for you easily

I’m getting stuck on the godmode9 scripts saying that the scripts directory is not found.

Yeah, this will undo the region lock on a 3ds. System menus will still be in Japanese unless you perform a region change

@@kumiliarostreamsarchives3079 There aren't many drawbacks so I'd say go for it. I picked one up not too long ago myself and love it. Was actually kinda working on a video similar to this one (almost seems redundant now) but also including the region change. The region change is optional though and it does seem to lock you out of the eShop (which isn't really an issue other than for downloading game updates)
