Police use tear gas to disperse protesters on the streets of Nairobi. Protests continue despite Kenyan President William Ruto's withdrawal of the finance bill that catalyzed the unrest. CNN's Larry Madowo is on the scene. #CNN #News
@@SubFlow22 what are you on about? It’s a different set of parties there, but here in the US republicans are wanting tax cuts for rich and increases for the poor on top of removing aspects of the social safety net. But seriously, you have a chance to explain yourself.
Mind Begs the Question: ▪︎If Judiciary,Police are too weak ▪︎To arrest clearly Criminal Politicians ▪︎Who support Starvation,Ethnic Cleansing, etc ▪︎Judiciary,Police serving - Nation or Elites?
Why can’t that boy articulate properly the reasons why the protesters are there??? 1. William Ruto does not have power to withdraw a bill he is not a member of parliament 2. It is therefore a lie that he is withdrawing anything 3. Parliament approved KDF deployment on streets then went on recess 4. The law says that if such a bill remains unsigned by the president fir 14 days then it automatically becomes law 5. Ruto is a dishonest liar he is lying to Kenyans and the international community 6. Part of that bill is also trying to turn freehold land into lease hold and introduce illegal taxes on land 7. He intends to gut the national land commission of its powers so that it can be easier for im to grab land belonging to innocent Kenyans . We had a history of grabbing public and private land There’s so much Larry can you articulate this properly
By sending it back to parliament means he has rejected. He recommended deletion of all the 69 clauses of the Financial Bill 2024, so it's upto the MPs to accept his memorandum or reject it.
Ruto is the apex of the corruption. So how would he be able to resolve anything? He is the master-mind of the corruption, but he calls it "hustling". Oh yeah? Kweli.
Ruro brought this on himself, he should have removed that finance bill the first day of protest. Now the people want him gone its not just about the finance bill anymore.
Wow I was just in Nairobi a few months ago. This street looks totally transformed from what I remember. It would be like watching Broadway in nyc undergo this.
@uou Pls leave Biden alone If you have failed to respect your president , leave the the neighbour alone for they do and they know no one dos the right but the matter of time . But here it shows you are funded by opposition and those who has the interest of this country.no one will escape this. You will pay it all Rutos signs is upon everyone disrespecting him.even if he leaves the chair mind you no one is an angle. Take that to the bank.
Ruto was in Moi's government in the 90's but he seems too arrogant to remember or even realize that once Kenyans go to the streets, they never go back home irrespective of how many you kill. 1950s to 1963. 1991 to 1997. I think the mistake was that Ruto believed, myopically that once he supported Raila Odinga for the AU Chairmanship, Kenya was now hisa to reign upon. WRONG.
How crazy is it Kenyan taxpayers are more freedom seeking, constitutional-minded, and fiscally literate about their own income and finances than US rank and file base voter democrats?
If only the MAGA Congress would pass laws to back the working class in America but now Trump wants to cut taxes even more and raise taxes 100% on imports coming into our country to crush our poor.
@@Muttinchopsforeverandalways Greetings, friend! Yes, friend, I will pray even though I do not know your name. Yet, if you are indeed lost, rest assured God knows. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine and go out to search for the one that is lost? Peace MC4E&A.
To be fair perhaps they have a point. If we stood up and fought like this politics in America wouldn't be a choice between lesser of the 2 evils. Peoples wouldn't take advantage of those they rule if they had to worry about actual consequences
I was in earlly 2013 with mum to see Živadin Jovanović , as we lived six months in Belgrade Serbia , at Svetogorska Street 9 , a flat that belongs to Duško Radović from Montenegro the town of Herceg Novi
I remember Živadin Jovanović talking about him working under foreign affaires minister Milan Milutinović in 1997 . Indeed Živadin Jovanović tells how he yelled at Milan Milutinović "Minister ! For whom do you work ?" ....
Sorry but this is nothing. A child has been shot more than 5 times in another area of Nairobi 💔 If this continues it'll anger the people even more ##RutoMustGo
I also had dinner with Milan Milutinović and his wife at Kolling Club Belgrade in 1998 , and after he drove us home to Josifa Marinkovića street , with his Mercedes offisciel car
