See life in February 1, 1931 as a large parade and ceremony celebrated a new concrete bridge across the Arkansas River connecting Sand Springs to Prattville. Governor William H. "Alfalfa Bill" Murray inaugurated the new span, and Pawnee Bill was also in attendance. This film shows the parade moving through Sand Springs prior to the bridge dedication, and features Native Americans, Cowboys, and Oklahoma settlers and pioneers. Different tribes and indian blankets. 16 mm film enhanced and colorized by Jack Frank Productions

Great video! That was a good parade and it was shown in color! I liked the Native American tribes in their traditional garb -since it happened in 1931 -I can’t imagine how it felt to watch it-thanks for posting! 😊😊😊😊
