@@nauticdixons Yes you have a point. I live in old Ikoyi but I know that other areas in Lagos are not as advantaged. But in fairness to Sanwoolu the problems of Lagos can be overwhelming - the population increases from displaced people in the north coming in - leading to pressure on housing and other facilities. Plus crime. There’s also Tinubu’s legacy of lawlessness that Sanwoolu has to cope with (NURTW) plus revenue leakages because of vested political interests. Sanwoolu had to play ball or end up like Ambode. For me he has tried, that is why I will vote him for a second term.

That's his biggest problem, he's a sucker for Tinubu, such a shame 😢 And to know that neither his godfather nor himself envisaged the influx of the population into Lagos 20/30 years back shows that they had/have no vision. Lagos is still growing, (100,000 new intake every year) the stats show, and they still have very little expansive plans. I'm staying on the coast during my time in Lagos, the water is trash, YES, all the way to Banana Island. We stop to pull out Dangote bags entangled in our outboard boat engine a good 3 to 4 times some trips. Ijust took my kids to jazz hole on Awolowo Way in Ikoyi just the other day, and I wasn't blown away person, it's overbuilt, ZERO green space and the drainages are 🤮

This is exactly what shows me that Nigerians will continue to make the wrong choices and will continue to suffer. Nigerians have well and truly lost all common sense. In 8 years time, Nigerians will be in a much worse position than they are now. This is not me cursing or prophesying. This is just simple facts based on evidence of what is on ground. Nigerians themselves, not the leaders, are completely and absolutely clueless. For any right thinking person not to question how this clown Wike goes about donating Rivers State public money, on personal whims, truly beggars belief. You want Nigeria to function properly abi? But are you Nigerians ready to take the pains and make the adjustments for that to happen? NO. Wike donates N300m. Is this his own personal money? What business does Wike do? He is a civil servant for crissakes! How much is his salary plus all benefits and entitlements? Yet he struts around in very expensive designer clothes and donates 100s of millions? Is this not all money that belongs to the people of Rivers state? Let me not even mention the fact that he is donating to people in a state far more wealthy than Rivers state and has a much spread out Infrastructural development. The fact that Nigerians believe that this is normal behaviour and that he is entitled to behave that way just shows how low standards have fallen in Nigeria. I'm afraid the country is irredeemable. Sure, Wike’s donation for a good cause, but everyone should go through some sort of legislative process before releasing this kind of money. Even governors and presidents.
